Disable Default AI FS9/FSX But Not MAIW

Hi all

I have a question, I hope I am posting here correct!

As by the topic title, how can I achieve this, I am interesting for FSX. The target is to have AI traffic scalar at 100% but default FSX disabled.

Believe it or not it is quite simple. In FS9 the default traffic is contained in the file traffic030528.bgl so all you need to do is delete the file, or move it to some folder somewhere that is not in the scenery.cfg file.

Yes I have also thought it would be but I wanted to be sure from experts.

I assume this file ":\FSX\Scenery\World\Scenery\trafficAircraft.bgl" will do the same at FSX!
There are some more there for boats, carriers which will not be disabled with the one before, I'll try it.

Or you could just remove the default aircraft AI folders from the airplanes folder, choice is yours. But Steves answer is the better and more tidy one.

That came also to me but I was anxious about it! You know, sometimes something needs some from the default FS and then everything goes wrong, CTD etc!

As long as you leave the folder for the default start plane all will be okay.

the removal off ":\FSX\Scenery\World\Scenery\trafficAircraft.bgl " has done the work, no problems at all, so far no error or whatever.
