A brand new set of textures for the Royal Navy Merlins are coming your way! The textures are highly detailed and based on a new paintkit, featuring! Panel lines, Rivets, Weathering, New Decals/Markings etc
Mark, when you pack these, would you be kind enough to upload them in 32bit format too. I personally run FS9 in dxt3 with no mips, but find that converting down from 32bit gives me the best possible textures. Thanks if you can and thanks if you can't That screenshot looks like a photo btw - very good!!!
I will be checking all Serials with the latest images i can find, so expect real world repaints
Thank you john, i was a bit worried about doing them thats why i asked you first as it was only released a while back, the textures where fine but i just wanted to add a little more detail to them! there are 1 or 2 parts that i cant really paint most notably around the cabin section as it paints other parts too! i wasnt sure if this could be fixed at all, but i know a lot of modelers prefare not to go back to old work which is very understandable..
I noticed that ZH834 84 of 824 Sqn has the name 'Gawaine' under the number on the nose. Whether the sqn is naming the others after knights I don't know.
Yes I know that Gawain should not have an 'E'

Incidentally, you have to see the picture he created for the inverted Vulcan on that page.

That would require a new Merlin model with the high tail and rear ramp....a model I've been wishing for, for a long time.
It would enable us to have Italy's Merlin and HH101 Caesar, Algerian, Canadian, Portuguese, Norwegian, Turkmenistan, Saudi and Nigerian to name a few!

Me to, but which version? They operate five different ones- CSAR, Utility, TTI utility (same but with 'Danish' nose radar), AEW (possibly not in service any more!) & naval ship version (similar to HM.2).
