Blue Angel inverted

Post by Stewart Pearson »

Hi,

Sometimes, it's nice to take a break from callsigns etc., and just go fly.

So I took the Aerialfoundry F-18 for a spin. Here is a sequence of shots from a low inverted pass.

1) Roll Right

2) That runway looks close you know!

3) Where's the sick bag

4) I'm getting a bit of a headache back here

5) Things are getting a bit greeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Hope you like. Oh well back to the headphones I suppose

Cheers

I prefer the Thunderbirds over the Blue Angels (*I guess I am kinda biased, eh?*), but those were some good shots...

PS - good to see another VPA member around :)

Great screen shots Stew. Where did you get the Aerialfoundry F-18 from and is it AI compatible. I've been using the Team FS KBT Superhornet which isn't very frame rate friendly when doing AI formation flying. Keep up the great work.

Hi Paul,

The Aerialfoundry F-18 is payware I'm afraid, available from Simmarket.

I doubt it would be AI friendly either, although to be honest I haven't tried it.

For AI purposes I would suggest Hiroaki Kubota's model at Avsim (ai_fa-18.zip). Graham King has done a load of repaints for this one and you'll find the list here;

Cheers

Thanks Stew for getting back to me on that and showing me that link. It's nice to see what repaints Graham has done. Already have that model and it's so so. Unfortunately there isn't any Blue Angel repaints for it either. Guess I'll have wait for Rysiek's model to come out.

Thanks again Paul
