That's a good spot Hartwig. I'll do that paint, but do you want it at Pax River for the short term, or should I ask Brent to add it to Beaufort?

Really strange. Yesterday I posted a link of an Italian forum of the same event. That shot doesn't show any paint on the tail... :smt017

John
As I understand it won't do any flight testing at Pax River. They will do the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects certification which is done inside a hangar or at least on the ground I believe.

So better send it to Beaufort and let it fly...

Hi John, looking better at the F-35, I noticed that the wheel pass through the door bay.

It does, but it happens so fast you would miss it if you blink. I would just live with it Giorgio.

I've just sent Part 3 of the project (F-35C's for FSX and P3Dv4) for inclusion in the Download Hangar. This is being released ahead of Part 2 (F-35B's for FS9), which is nearing completion.

The F-35C package features 31 aircraft in land-based and carrier configurations with FDE's by Steve Holland. In addition to the aircraft, 3 scenery options are currently available:

Jamie's Eglin AFB with new sun shelters I made to ensure compatibility with FSX and P3Dv4:

Henry Street's Lemoore NAS for FSX:

Because the Hornets from the existing MAIW Lemoore package are not compatible with P3Dv4, I supplemented the 5 VFA-125 F-35C's with two visitors from each of Pax River and Edwards AFB, just to boost the numbers.

A carrier scenario with 6 aircraft of VFA-101 flying between the carrier and Eglin AFB:

A fourth scenery option is Patuxent River from Hartwig. This will serve both F-35B's and C's once he has completed the AFCAD calibration work to ensure the F-35B's clear the ski jump on take-off. The scenery should work in FSX, but with a few coastline issues, but is largely incompatible with P3Dv4 unfortunately.

The Part 3 file is called JYAI_F-35s_Part3_Cs_FSX_1.zip and hopefully will be available shortly.

Back to the F-35B's and an Italian paint I think .......

I am confused. In the download section it says JYAI F-35C's Part 3. I guess the FS9 version was part 1? And what is part 2?

Edit: never mind I just saw John's post a few posts ahead of my question.

Either read my post above, the text that accompanies the download or the introduction in the manual Joseph29. Just read something.

I did, that's why I said never mind. I didn't read your post until after I asked the question. :)

John and Company,

Has anyone done Eglin repaints for YOUR f-15's? With the conversion of the C-130's that are now P3d4 compatible, and a some Awesome JYAI F-15's, Eglin could be hoppin!

Woog, Mark has done a few paints for my F-15's at Eglin (in the Download Hangar), but nowhere near the total based at the airfield. I agree, painting the bulk of the aircraft would certainly add to the value in P3Dv4.

In FSX and P3d4 there are some alignment issues with the old AFCAD when using in conjunction with photoscenery, however the Fighter ramps are pretty well aligned. A great overall improvement to this base! Thank you John for the F-35’s, they look really nice.
