Hello Everyone,

My name is Pedro, I´m from Portugal, so please pardon any error in my English.

First of all, thanks to everyone in this Website for the excellent work they´ve made in creating this packages wich I love.

I just want to ask a question regarding the E-8.

When I downloaded the package it only came with the P3D version of the Aircraft, in the PDF says that it´s compatible with FSX. I tried to make the Aircraft Flyable just to see if it appears, but it olny appeared in the selection menu, when I click, a message pop´s up saying:"Visual model could not be displayed...Makes sense because, after all the model is for P3D.

My question is: Is there a version for FSX too or this is only for P3D?

To clarify, I´m not asking if the Aircraft will be made or when will it be made for FSX. Just asking if it´s compatible with FSX also, since the PDF says it is,

Thanks a lot in advance for the help and the excellent work.

Kind Regards,

Pedro

For FSX you can just find the original FS9 version and use it.... It is only 64-bit sims (P3D v4 and later) that require FSX+ models...

There is a real pilotable version of E-8 here : https://simviation.com//hjg/downloads.htm

but it is for FS9.

The MAWI E-8 is an AI version only.

Hello TheFoufure,

Thank you very much for your reply!

I know the HJG E-8, it´s very good and I have it, the thing is, the Aircraft is very heavy on my machine, and my idea was to apply the FDE, Panel and Sound of the HJG to the Ai because these one is very light.

But thanks anyway for your reply and help!

It is rare that you can convert an AI aircraft to flyable and have it work properly.
The reason is that developers of AI aircraft code animations to work on circumstances and not user actions.
There is nothing that you can do to change that, but the fewer the animations the more chance that it will work as you would like. Until you try it you won't know.

The FS9 version of the E-8C is in the 'USAF JSTARS and Robins AFB' package which you can find in the Hangar.

Hello Firebird,

Thank you very much for your reply and help.

I completely understand what you are saying.

I´ve tried to convert the NAAI B707 using the ".AIR" file and some sections of the "Aircraft.cfg", from the HJG B707, the Aircraft flew well and it worked fine, it doesen´t have the animations like Doors and Primary Flight Controls, but Flaps and Spoilers worked fine, so I had the same Idea for the E-8

Thank you very much, Everyone, for the help!
