How do I get fuel tanks off of planes.

Can you be more specific?? Off of AI planes, user planes or what?

I think you can repaint them in pure black (255,255,255) and they become see through in FS9.

You mean to jettison them mid-flight?? Short answer is no, can't be done. There are however some models out there that do allow this (mostly payware though)
