Question About Custom Flightplans - Uploading

Post by CAFedm »

Hello everyone,

Nearing completion of a scenery project and I would like to include some simple flightplans to populate the base with AI aircraft. A fair amount of traffic calls for MAIW-created aircraft. Wondering if it would be OK to make reference to the source of the aircraft files, e.g., from the MAIW website, but using completely made-from-scratch flightplans with the files once uploaded. No MAIW (or any other) premade plans would be included. This project is entirely freeware and of course full credit will be given to any resources that are called for. Many thanks in advance.

You need to contact the individual:

1) Model Creator(s)
2) FDE Creator(s)
3) Repainter(s)

Generally, they all give their consent. Only once wasd I turned down (non-MAIW member lol). But it's still proper etiquette to ask them all individually. Good luck :D

I think you just want to put a link to the actual model in your Read Me correct? That is fine, of course. Looking forward to your work.

Thanks, that is correct, just adding a link to where to find the model so that it can be located if desired. As mentioned, all the flightplan work is completely custom, so I can't see that being an issue. Will post a few pics in the projects forum shortly. Thanks all.
