Speaking for myself. I do alot of research into the bases that I am covering, my main source for where they go to is airliners.net where I can find the places they have historically been visiting from the location of the photos.Pixy wrote:Thanks to reply. Anyway, if you guys don't mind, Where do you got the sources? I mean the aircrafts, airports, and the flightplans itself? After all the packages you have relased?
Nick
The sources are freely available to our contributors and we use mostly freeware software to put the packages together.
Here are a couple programs that we use on every package:
AFCAD V2.21
TTools
Edit Voice Pack
These are all freeware and are readily available. To create aircraft textures, one of our texture experts will use a program like PhotoShop or Paint Shop Pro to create all the various repaints needed, sometimes from scratch. The models themselves are created with modeling software such as FSDS or Gmax. Same goes for the scenery. The aircraft flight dynamics are replicated by Mike MacIntyre. The flightplans are written from scratch and then compiled using TTools. Finally the whole package is compiled into an auto-installer using a freeware program from ClickTeam.
Like the others have said, our packages are made from scratch for the most part. That's what sets us apart from other AI groups.
