Iranian air force (IRIAF) flightplans

Post by davidbernard »

Just uploaded my flightplans for the Iranian air force to AVSIM. Flightplans for the F-14, Mig-29, F1, RF-4E, F-4D and F27 are included. AFCAD files (some modified versions from a well known but anonymous forum member ;-) ) are also in the file. Enjoy!

Hi David

What's the name of the file? I can't find it searching the library.

Cheers
John

Hi John,

Just uploaded the file. I think it will take a while before the library manager wakes up again. Annoying time zones *sigh* ;-)

Thanks David, they are already flying around in my sim!

Any chance you'll also do flightplans for the IRIAF C130s?

It's a pleasure. I will do flightplans for the C-130, P-3, Il-76, B707 and CH-47 in the next couple of days.

Nice work.
Why waste 'trons for a snappy signature when I can use this?

Looking forward to visiting Iran!

Just a minor heads up: You managed to hide that upload in the "flightplans" rather than the "ai flightplans", so I only just found them by looking for them, rather than stumbling upon them. Not that it matters much...

I've done the Iranian Il-76s, using the Michael Pearson repaints of the Rulexy ai model.

Reg's:

Air Force
5-8203
5-8204
5-8206
5-8208 (with defunct AEW radome)
5-8209

Revolutionary Guards
15-2282
15-2283
15-2284

Is this an exhaustive list?

Let me know if there's more, or if you're further on with this than me.

The C-130 and P-3 are first on my list, so I didn't pay much attention to the Il-76 yet. What are the destination airports for your Il-76s?

I have limited their activity to an average of just under six legs per aircraft.
Clandestine supply flights to Russia and China in support of the ageing Sukhoi and MiG/Chengdu fleets are included (IIRC).

Do you really have the Iranian Il-76 flying to Schiphol Airport? Although it would add some diversity to my virtual Schiphol, I don't think it is very realistic...

I'm as confused as you about that!
I think my Airports.txt file has some deadwood.

Fear not, the only European appearance they make is at UUWW.

I'm not even sure how realistic that is, but I see it as plausible given the Iranian use of Russian technology. Then again, they also use Tomcats and Phantom IIs, but you won't find any visits to America  .

I don't even know of any recent evidence to show that the Il-76s ever leave Iran.

If military or (nuclear related) goods are flown in to Iran, I suppose civilian Russian or Iranian aircraft are used. It's too obvious when IRIAF cargo planes fly in and out ;-)

I finally got round to sharing my Iranian Il-76 flightplans on Avsim.

If you haven't already made your own, they might fill a gap for you. They're on this page:

Hope they suit your requirements...
