Return of the 'Black Sheep'
Col. Michael Stapleton, 49th Operations Group commander, passes a guidon to Lt. Col. Craig Baker, as he assumes command of the 8th FS in a ceremony here Sept. 25. The 8th FS, known historically as "The Black Sheep," will resume operations after a brief period of inactivity associated with the F-117A Nighthawk retirement. The squadron will be the second F-22A Raptor squadron, along with the 7th Fighter Squadron, to be assigned to the 49th Fighter Wing here. Both squadrons are to receive 20 F-22s and aircraft will be identifiable by their tail flash of either the "Black Sheep" or "Screamin' Demons."

Re: Return of the 'Black Sheep'
I have all but 3 22's done for the 7th FS. I will need to check and see which ones will be filling in the 8th FS but I believe some will be straight from production. We also have a bunch of "RPV's" now

I already did! I removed the F-117s from MAIW package and replaced them with F-22s!Jumpshot724 wrote:Sweet. So, who's starting work on a Holloman Update

Re: Return of the 'Black Sheep'
How lucky could a pilot get?
Fly the -117 and now the -22?
How many pilots will actually be doing that?
