My another hobby SCALE MODELING but HOME MADE

Post by miljan »

Ok people this is my another hobby older than FS2004 :)
I make models in 1/320 scale from wood and plastic and little of other materials(imagination can do everything). and everythig in this scale is home made I also make models from box from Revell,Italeri and others...
I started with this king of modeling by mid 90' when was crisis in my country and there is no too much money for fun and hobbies(very hard times). One day i fonuded some rasp in my fathers tool box and some wood battens and start my work. After few years i become ninja in this job
there is some pictures as reference i use kingston flash memory stickn,20th dinars(about 1,1 inch in diameter) and box of matches
Here is some pictures:

Great job and the detail is amazing for something so small, and I thought 1/144th scale models were tiny!

How about eccentric?

I think your models are very impressive, especially given the small size! I love the way that you didn't let war and other economic hardship get in the way of your passion...

Goodness! Soooooooo tiny but great!
I'm a scale modeller as well, I have 10 models in the stash, all aircrafts, but few spare time...
Here is the only model I managed to complete since 2008, I posted some shots a few time ago

Thanks Miljan!
I'm satisfied about the result, but I still have much to practice! In fact, the Hunter is the first ever model I painted with the airbrush (which got broken soon afterwards - I had to buy a new one which I never used so far), so you can't see much weathering or fading colour. The green and the grey are even wrong and too dark, and the finish is glossy instead of flat... looks like an aircraft restored and put in a museum!
The model is built from the box, so I used the canopy included with the kit. The fit of the parts was very precise, so if there is a shape issue it depends on the fact that the producer (Revell) might have made a mistake while designing it!

BTW, here is what I have to build
To do
1/144 Revell A321 Lufthansa Retro and Ryanair 737-800
Image

Image

1/48 Hasegawa Mustang Mk. IV Hunsdon (actually a P-51K but features the parts to make a D. It will be a P-51D with US Olive Drab+Dark Green livery, probably Old Crow)
Image

1/72 Revell F/A-18E and F-22A (the former is a scale down of a previously released 1/48 kit and has some small wrong detail; the latter will receive photo etched prepainted parts for the cockpit - looking forward to them!)
Image

Airfix 1/72 Spitfire PRXIX. Released a couple of months ago, marks a great improvement in quality for the venerable British producer, though the detail is extremely basic (plain cockpit, gear doors and legs in one piece). I was tempted to make a Swedish one in overall PRU Blue, for which the decals are included!
Image

Image

1/72 Revell Me 262A1 (will receive a replacement vac-formed canopy as the one included in the box is unusable - and maybe a new decal sheet)
Image

WIP 1/72 (Since Feb. 2009 fuselage still to be glued and interior to be completed)
Image

WIP 1/48 (Since Feb. 2009 - partially painted - I'm not very satisfied about the build as I experienced some fit issues though this is the best kit for a Viper ever made)
Image

And finally, 1/35 Tamiya Schwimmwagen (until three years ago I used to build military vehicles)
Image

PS. if you think I'm endorsed by Revell... you're wrong!
I usually get their models because don't cost much and their quality is good enough (also the Hunter is Revell's)!

Reminds me of when I used to have time and space for modeling. If I remember correctly I had something like 45x Phantom K/Ms.
I wouldn't even like to think how much those cost on their own.

Well done, Miljan! I never tried 1/144 for fighters so no idea on how they are, but your models look fine!
