Let me see. The French AF, as does USAF, has some KC's that could do it .
The CF-35's will be constructed to refuel with the current CC-150 system. When that's unavailable we use the the USAF. There is no cost involved using a USAF gas can. We have been providing NORAD NORTHCOM service to the US on a regular basis to free up there assets for the mideast and RR related to stress levels. Believe me my NWS FOL's in NWT are a loaded nest from various Sq's. The fault in the CF-35 in relation to the Arctic is it's range and engine to our extreme harsh conditions. Look the USAF F-22's even have issue's in the extreme Arctic. What we need in the CAF is top of the line Super Hornets or Euro-fighters. For Russian you cant go wrong on the Sukhoi. The Sukhoi has a love match with the Arctic in heaven. Tech looses in the Arctic, its muscle, strength and wills that win here. anotherwards something elected and politican dont have, unless they reach up there rears and pull real hard

Talk to any CAF pilot who isn't currently brown nosing and they'll say the same .One Quebecer is instructing with the Aussies and he absolutely loves it . What we REALLY need more than anything are attack helicopters as of LAST year !!
