sbuilder

I have been playing around with sbuilder (or trying), The question is can you import an afcad that I made into sbuilder to add scenery?

As far as I know you can not open an AFCAD file in SBuilder.
What I do is the following
- start Flight Simulator
- open the AFCAD file either in AFCAD 2.21 --> View --> Lock to flight sim or in Airport Design Editor --> Connect to flight sim
- start SBuilder and create a new project, --> View --> Show aircraft

Now you can either use the slew mode in FS or in AFCAD 2.21/ADE - Right click --> Jump here / Move here? to position your aircraft.
In SBuilder there will be a small cross on the center of the screen following your current position in FS.
I also use maximum zoom in Sbuilder to get the position as accurate as possible.

SBuilder does not handle airport facilities data. So as the previous post says, you cannot load an AFCAD created bgl file into SBuilder. If you are just looking to add airport factilities and scenery objects then ADE will do all of that in FS9. If you are looking to change, or add land class, meash, photo scenery etc then you will need to use SBuilder for that.

Sbuilder and ADE are a great set of tools to have.

Hello all,
I don't want to hi-jack this thread but I hope somebody can help me.
I am trying to make some VTP polys to use as background for some of my sceneries.
After calibrating successfully the map of the scenery (a Google Earth image), I started drawing the polygons.
If I draw I single grass background polygon, it will show correctly once ingame, but if I added another one (i.e. a polygon with autogen textures to represent a forested area), only this latter will show.
I tried to change both the polygon's layers and drawing priority, but only one shows off.
Where is the mistake?

James,

I think you forgot an important step before compiling a bgl in sbuilder.

Before you hit "BGL Compiliation", you have to make sure that everything is selected.

Go to Select -> Select All and then try to compile again.

I'm glad it worked. It's one of those peculiarities of SBuilder.
