Think there is a small error with Texture "806bwp_416bw_58-0193"
texture folder has both jmai_b-52g_1_t.bmp & jmai_b-52g_2_t.bmp

But both files seem to be jmai_b-52g_2_t.bmp in content. Barksdale is very busy at the moment :D :D :D

I was almost about to take a long pause from FS9/FSX, but seeing these AI BUFFs have suddenly recharged my battery.

Thank you!

Over 400 paints and I actually screwed one up....... :smt003; it's almost a relief, because it was going almost perfectly. I'll fix it with the last B-52G installment, which will be the 1993 model with the tail guns removed. I am also going to add in some extra late 80s G paints as an expansion to the '1985' models. I have some pre-SAC SIOP schemes that started to sport some of the tail work (379th, 2nd, 93rd), so I will throw those in with an updated 1985 aircraft config file to include the new paints, just a drop-in update.

It looked kinda funky sat on the ramp at Barksdale. I think you have
done a magnificent job with this one, all the more because so many of
us have been praying for this model since about 2005 :D

Well that filled up Diego Garcia quite nicely, I may have to add some more parking spaces to fit the 4300d in there during their downtime. I've set up 10 target waypoints over Iraq, but I can't decide if I want the BUFFs going out every day or every other day (which I'd imagine was more realistic).

If you guys want some of the most amazing screenshots I've ever seen, go over to Martin Gossmans Owl's Nest site, I believe he has some galleries that will blow you away. I never thought my aircraft ever looked that good, lol.

I agree, Martin has been taking some fab screen pic's that almost make an AI model look real life. :P

Mark, Mike, coming from you guys who made these wonderful models this is a very, very nice compliment. Thanks a million!

They do look quite tasty in FSX, even I will admit to that.

Martin those C-130 shots from New Zealand look amazing with that terrain mesh.

The dark side rules ;-) Yes Mike, "our" models with FSX, REX and good country sceneries are wonderful to work with.

I'm getting at least two or three PMs and emails per day just asking for flightplans, so if you guys who have been making all of these nice screenshots for me would start sharing your flightplans on AVSIM or Flightsim....... thanks.

Still working on some FP's, but want to get some scenery done first, R.I. Bong out this week, followed by Castle, Kinchloe, Sawyer, and Wurtsmith. With possibly Clinton-Sherman, Wright Patterson, and Dow by the end of the month. These will be for FSX guys.

Here's some plans for:
93d Bombardment Wing (Heavy) at Castle AFB (scenery at AVSIM, although the AFCAD needs a minor overhaul).
42d Bombardment Wing (Heavy) at Loring AFB (probably some scenery out there, got an ADE somewhere. Also note I've stuck with ME16 as it's the current airport code, instead of KLIZ as it was back in the day).
806th Provisional Bombardment Wing at RAF Fairford.
4300th Provisional Bombardment Wing at Diego Garcia (you'll probably need more parking space if you have Matt's scenery).

Bozo 3-3 holding short of the runway prior to a mission to bomb Al Basrah Oil Refinery

Also included are target AF2's for Iraq:
0RAQ H-1 (airbase)
1RAQ H-2 (airbase)
2RAQ H-3 (Haj Sen) (airbase)
3RAQ Bayji Oil Refinery
4RAQ Saladin (armaments factory)
5RAQ Radwaniyah Palace
6RAQ Baghdad Power Plant
7RAQ Daura (Ad Dawrah) Oil Refinery
8RAQ Al Qaqaa State Establishment (munitions)
9RAQ Al Basrah Oil Refinery

Haven't done the other Desert Storm wings yet as the work week kicked back in

Edit: The SAC wings don't do anything special, they just fly around and visit various SAC-era bases.

This is what I totally love about the international hobby. I can do flightplans but I'm not great at them. I can do scenery, but I am really bad at it. I can do callsigns, but they are mediocre. I'd really rather just build and paint aircraft. There is so much talent out there, that we just feed off of each other. All one of us has to do is provide a scenery or an aircraft, and everybody else jumps on and does little bits for it to make the experience that much better for everybody. And no matter what the effort is, no contributor's part is 'little', all pieces factor in to make it a total hobby experience. What good would several hundred hours of Jake's and my lives be if there wasn't an airport, and AFCAD, or a set of flightplans to make these aircraft alive in the sim?

I took a few days off of this project and finished my G.91 Ginas, just uploaded 44 models and 210 repaints in 3 packages to AVSIM (check out my Euro-Scooter thread for pix). Back to the BUFFs later this week.

To the fans, thanks for loving it; and to the contributors, thanks for helping out as you can.

Mike,

I agree wholeheartedly with your comments about our hobby. It has shown itself on another thread recently too and as we all get to know each other there isn't much we couldn't do between us all. Provided it stays 'fun' there is no end.

I still maintain that without the aircraft modellers we are sunk and I think all would agree that your contribution is exceptional. Long may you continue to have 'fun'.

Thank you,

Chris

I'm a bit weary of doing the 1708th BWP, as they're located at what is now a fairly busy civilian airport, and most AFCADs I've seen doesn't have the proper parking space for the 19 extra BUFFs :|
