F-111E/F and EF111A (JY)

Yeah Stew, you and your arrows. I was going to talk to you about my roof but got sidetracked with the cfg. I suppose you've been wearing that green suit too.

Well if your patient there may be the 380th BMW and 509th BMW in your future. Especially if a true A model stratrobladder made an appearance (if not the E will work just fine)mikewmac wrote: Eventually I might create my own personal AI FDE for your outstanding JYAI F-111 to use with textures for the F/B-111A's based at the old Plattsburgh AFB, if and when they become available from some motivated painter. Years ago I used to fly over Plattsburgh AFB on my way to Clinton County Airport from Burlington when the F/B-111A's were based there. They were an awesome sight from directly above at 3000 feet.![]()

Re: F-111E/F and EF111A (JY)
I've opened a thread in the FDE section at FsDeveloper to see if anyone can suggest why the FDE worked for some people but not for others using the same aircraft, traffic file and scenery/AFCAD. It was always rock stable on my system. Although the actual reports of the bounce problem was only from a handful of people in about 800 downloads, it's still an unwanted complication for the future, particularly when I can't replicate the problem and deal with it by experimentation. More testing will obviously help, but I still might not include a problematic installation in the sample. I Need to move on though.
Because of the interest in the F-111 here and all the help you have given me, I'd like to offer the FB-111A model and perhaps a couple of paints. What I need though is a good 3-view drawing to work from, a photograph or two of the wanted livery and the required load-out. I have searched the net, but I can't find what I am looking for. If anyone can e-mail me these bits, I'll gladly do it after I have finished the wing glove correction for the existing aircraft.

This thread shows exemplary why this is one of the few really nice places in the net.
Cheers,

Superb, John.
I am hoping that somebody has the 3 view drawings that you need. The nice thing about doing the FB-111A is that you get the F-111G for free. Also if you add the longer wings to the existing pave tack model then you get the F-111C which would enable a retro RAAF fleet to be done.

Below is a link to the FB-111A.net website that is loaded with information, photos, etc. for the FB-111A:
http://www.fb-111a.net/index.html
Below is a link to information and nose art photos for the FB-111A's flown by the 380th Bombardment Wing (Medium) based at Plattsburgh AFB, NY from 7-1-1972 to 7-10-1991 found on this website:
http://www.fb-111a.net/nosearts.html
Below is a link to a 3-View Drawing of the FB-111A with dimensions found on this same website:
http://www.fb-111a.net/OJT/OJT1-20.jpg
Below is a link to a table of the dimensions of the FB-111A found on this same website:
http://www.fb-111a.net/OJT/OJT1-21.jpg
Although the 3-view drawing and table are not of the highest quality, I hope you will find this website helpful in developing a JYAI FA-111A for the 380th Bombardment Wing.
If I can help by developing a JYAI FA-111A FDE for it please let me know, but if you prefer to create the AI FDE yourself, I will certainly understand. If there is anything else I can do to help, please let me know.
Thanks,

It looks like there just may be a JYAI FB-111A in our future.

I should point out though that it was not a request, I was merely pointing out an opportunity that John may not be immediately aware off. Whether he goes there or not is entirely up to him.

Re: F-111E/F and EF111A (JY)
Thanks guys, I'm on the case. I haven't studied the C-model yet but I had a feeling that if I extended the wings, added the intake ramps from the Raven and the Pave Tack from the F model, I might get quite close. I'll check it out. I really don't mind people requesting things when they can be done with marginal effort.
