Guys I emailed Graham with no luck to get the F-2 paints, and I can't find them anywhere, all the links are broken on the boards that lead to them. Does anyone have them they can send me or post so I can start adding in these JASDF bases? Thanks.

Has anyone ever seen a pic of a AH-64DJP with a warshot hellfire? All the pictures I can find have blue training shots. I'm trying to figure out what the labeling on them would look like. I'd hate to paint all the hellfires blue. Not that I'm admitting that I'm painting AH-64DJPs or anything....

I'm sure the Japanese have some kind of no live munitions over Japan rule, can somebody confirm this?

Edit: Yep found this.
The F-2 pilots are well trained, although it wasnÂ’t until three years ago that an F-2 was able to drop live bombs. This was because Japan has no training facility in its own territory for live bombings. Thus it's only when Japanese warplanes are flown to foreign training areas, that they can they practice using real bombs. For this practice bombing, the Japanese F-2 aircraft flew to an American air base in Guam, in the Central Pacific.
This Japanese policy is nothing new. In the last sixty years, there have been only three times where Japanese warplanes dropped live munitions. The rest of the time, they practice with inert munitions, and simulated (by computer) bombs. Japanese aircraft have not been in combat since World War II, so there's no way of knowing if their training practices have had an adverse effect on combat effectiveness.
After what happened you can't really blame them.

Thanks Mark. Now I can stop picking through endless piles of google searches and get back to trying to get all the color bands on the little parts to line up...

Hey click,
I noticed I am short on some of the libraries I need. Where can I get these:

MCD Mil
Osan Lib
GA hangers SS v3
GGSE
JGSE
MG MAN trucks
Parking lots large SS

Thanks, after 4 hours of work, Japan is full and looks awesome, especially with ORBX Global. I'll get some screenies up later, I am gonna take a break and think about where I want to fly later on ...... 8)

I can probably sort some of these out for you:

MCD Mil: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DL ... CatID=root
Osan Lib: MAIW Osan AB V2
GA hangers SS v3: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DL ... CatID=root
GGSE
JGSE
MG MAN trucks
Parking lots large SS: http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DL ... CatID=root

I am pretty sure the other three were included in MAIW packs... I'm just not sure. The trucks I know were developed in house by Fishlips.

Thanx Click ... I feel stupid calling you that  .... it's appreciated. Is there anywhere I can download all of the MAIW scenery library object libraries and textures without having to go back to WOAMIL 3 and download each one of the 270 packages just to get the scenery library object libraries and textures. I think I know the answer  and I am just hoping for an act of god that there is a place to dowload them and skip all the extra stuff, or that someone is kind enough to save me the trouble and PM me and email me their accurate MAIW Scenery Library Objects folder with accurate and complete textures. Even some of your JASDF bases have black buildings and little black non textured objects scattered around.

If any of you guys that read this have a generous heart and have been doing this as long as I have, have all the MAIW packages, and have your sim jammed with AI packages like I do but with fully textured objects and sceneries and know what its like to have a little texture problem or something require you to take on re-downloading and installing 270+ MAIW packages just to get the MAIW Scenery Library Objects folder correct with all the textures accurate so you can get rid of stupid black textured objects littering most of the MAIW airfields. If you have been in that position and you have compassion for me and want to help, you could offer to email me a copy of your accurate scenery library objects folder with all the textures correctly displaying so I don't have o spend the next week downloading and clicking ..... I would be forever in your debt. If the virtual world is as cold as the real world when it comes to strangers helping strangers, I will expect carpal tunnel, a computer screen headache, and blisters on my mouse clicking fingers .... on the flip side it will be awesome to see things the way MAIW intended - NAF Atsugi and MCAS Iwakuni will have color towers, my carrier practice runways wont have a black box where the practice traps are at Beaufort and all the NAS packages, Hatzerim will no longer have a bunch of black boxes in the middle of the desert, black trucks and boxes wont be driving by me when I am getting ready to taxi, and I will get to see whatever the hell is next to the C-5's @ March AFB. The reward is worth it, not flying over black buildings that is supposed to be a part of Zweibrucken AB or Minot. They are everywhere, and I am fed up with it. I have made a couple friends here, so I am going to wait until tomorrow and maybe I will get lucky lol :)

If not, I will be spending the next few days downloading and wasting gigs to square this away. I will get things fixed one way or the other, and I will put up some screenshots when I am finally running accurate textured airbases. :) 8)

Dan these are library scenery objects we use in almost all our packages. They are produced to be over written each time you install one of our packages, which will add new objects if we have updated the library. So you only need to have the latest packages to have the latest library's.

GGSE & JGSE are the most common we use and I guarantee they will be supplied with every scenery by John Stinstrom. (I know for a fact the GGSE was used in this weeks ITAF and ROCAF and IDF packages and maybe Belgium too)

The MG MAN trucks has been used in the Williamtown, East Sale and Tindal packages and either the HAF F4 or Trainer packages.

Are you sure you have the MAIW Scenery Objects folder active?

If you can, post an screenshot or two of blacked out objects and I'll tell you exactly what should be there.

These anomalies happen everywhere, Atsugi, Beaufort, Iwakuni, Some of the Japanese Air Bases, Zuttendaal, El Centro, Miramar, Minot, I have seen it pretty much every time I fly. Even the carrier practice traps @ Lemoore, Cherry Point, everywhere KNFW. I don't get it. Reinstalling doesn't help.

I gotta figure this out, I am not sure how or why this would happen or how to fix it. Maybe something is corruupted. Any ideas are appreciated.

Some of those hangars look like they are from the MAIW ABO library... Which I use extensively for the Japanese airfields. Try checking the textures that belong to that library.

How do I know what textures go with it? I am pretty sure that is my whole problem, some how the textures didn't get installed I bet. I must have installed them a hundred time over the years, I am amazed that somehow I would have missed them, I have installed like 100 packages in the last year and all of them have those object libraries and textures. I don't get how this happened, or what the exact nature of the problem even is.

If you have installed a great many packages from us then I can't believe that you haven't got the MAIW ABO lib images installed.
The slightly more obvious cause, to me, might be that the MAIW libs, with MAIW ABO in stalled, is not below the JASDF scenery folder in your FS.
As our readmes say the MAIW folders should be installed as low as possible above the MS default folders.

Have you checked that?

Just as a quickie, make sure you have not got any scenery texture folders called TEXTURES......make sure they are all called TEXTURE.....I've been caught out by this before and only discovered the mistake after hours of chundering. This also goes for the main TEXTURE folder as well :)

I think I'm giving up on trying to get the jigsaw puzzle on the bottom to line up right on this bird and moving it on to the individual serializing phase:

Image

Show of hands, how many people have the JFAI UH-60? I may or may not continue working on a paintkit to create UH-60Js if there is anyone other than me that would want them.

Then back to work on the scenery in the very infant stages in the background.

I do have to hold my hands up and say that I do have the JFAI bird and yes I would love them should you decide to do them.
