If you keep badgering him about this & other scenery requests he might just jack it all in and start doing the garden instead. Your request has been noted and will be acted on (or not) if someone wishes to create them. Repeated requests (or even demands) soon cause people to think why should I bother.

The guys who provide content on this site do it without any monetary gain because they want to and I for one am more than happy with the product they provide for free. There are lots of sceneries I would like to see either made or updated, AI aircraft which I would love to see flying in my sim. They may one day get made but in the meantime I will carry on with what I have and my poor attempts at scenery design.

Patience is a virtue (I’m told)

Andy, it's coming close to harassment now.

It takes seconds to make a request but it might take a few hundred hours or more to deliver it, so the subject has to be something that the developer wants to do, not what he's being badgered to do. Diversity is important, at least to me, because repeating a similar design over and over again just leads to tedium and the risk of diminishing enthusiasm, particularly when 3 sim versions are involved.

I enjoy working with people who want to contribute something themselves and will do all I can to help, but I'm afraid people who just demand repeatedly, but are not prepared to do anything themselves, are not going to be very high in the pecking order I'm afraid.

Brent, that's a corker of an orca!

Fort Smith Municipal Airport Alabama ANG: 184th FS Arkansas ANG converted to the 184th AS and now flies the MQ-9

Barksdale AFB AFRC: 47th FS was stood down, then reactivated at Davis Monthan. They are already included in the Davis Monthan V3 package

Eglin AFB: 40th FLTS has 1 A-10 assigned, 79-0177. I have a good copy of the crew door if this aircraft is wanted

Whiteman AFB : The 303rd hasn't been officially announced, but I thought I kind of gave it away by including two screenshots of their aircraft already painted on the JYAI model....

Andy,
Sometimes not giving an answer IS an answer.

If Brent hasn't specifically answered your question sometimes you have to assume that at the moment he has no plans to do them and does not want to enter a dialog about it.

You are not a pest Andy. I understand the problems you have because my grandson has similar ones. You just need to hold back on the requests and enjoy what is currently available without constantly asking for more. That way we can all stay friends.

Here's something more for you and everyone else who's interested:

I’ve sent the OSAN (Republic of Korea) update packages for inclusion in the Download Hangar this morning. The files update the existing MAIW package, released by Desmond Burrell on the 29 August 2015. It replaces the AI A-10s with the new JYAI aircraft and repaints for the new WSMG F-16s. A modified AFCAD and traffic file enables the new aircraft to operate from the base. Paints for both the A-10s and F-16s are by Han Min Cheol (Mins).

The update is available in two versions - one for FS9 and the other for FSX. The file names are:

RKSO_Osan_update_FS9_3.zip and
RKSO_Osan_update_FSX_1.zip

Although the FSX version of the JYAI A-10s will work in P3Dv4, unfortunately, it has not been possible to get the Osan scenery to show at all in that sim version. The new FS9 F-16s will also have problems with animated parts until the FSX conversion is made available. The original Osan package includes FS9 Lockheed TR-1As. These will also work in FSX, but not in P3Dv4.

Next job is to produce the manual and assemble the zips for the great Lakes ANG update that replaces the A-10s and adds shelters at Selfridge and Fort Wayne ANG bases. I'm pleased to say that these will be for all 3 sim versions.

Since the Osan scenery will not work IN P3Dcan someone make a AFCAD? Because I don't think the default P3D Osan has any parking spaces for AI. It is to bad the other AI will not work, I hope one day they will work! Will there be separate traffic files so people with P3D can at least install the A-10's?

The FSX Osan AFCAD in the update will work in P3Dv4 and the FSX A-10s will park in the spots using the new FSX traffic file. However, I've not been able to get the old Osan scenery objects to display.

John and Mins, that is some beautiful work gentlemen. Hats off to you.

Andy, those aren't A10 bases anymore. They haven't been for years. We are quite aware of where every single A10 is stationed. That's how we know which serial numbers, door paints, special markings, teeth, squadron patches... etc. etc. go in each package. We have chosen the units that we have already painted because based on several factors, including already having scenery available. Squadrons without scenery, like Boise, Martin State and Moody weren't included in the first batch because it takes a long time to produce scenery. If I were to start one of these projects immediately upon completion of my current project, you might get something come november... maybe.

Heck, you are already getting 8 full squadrons with the planned releases. That ain't shabby.

And we just spent a month with you getting Kobe working... have you even done the Kobe->Chi Chi Jim's seaplane flight yet? I find the turning approach between the islands, over the mountain and into the bay to be quite challenging.

I'm a little confused as to why the model files for the F-16s are not included in the package. I have the models for the Block 52 F-16C from other downloads and one of those for the Block 52 F-16D but nowhere can I find the model 'Bk52_USAF_Clean'. Any help would be much appreciated.

Alan,
If you are talking about the units based at KTUS the simple answer is that the versions flying there have not been produced yet. A mixture of Blk 20/25/32 and 42 are based there.

I've encountered the same issue as Alan, The South Carolina F-16 DM doesn't appear to contain a model Bk52_USAF_Clean. However the aircraft config file for the Osan F-16 has a line model=Bk52_USAF_Clean. Did I mess something up with the South Carolina install? Went back to the original South Carolina download and couldn't find the clean model. Just point me in the right direction.

You did not mess up, as far as I know there hasn't been one released.
Alter the cfg to one of the two models that have been released. The model.Bk52_USAF_PYLONS_2P is a clean fit and so it seems that this would be the one to use.

Thanks Steve, as always I appreciate the help. I did find a model Bk50_USAF_Clean_2P in the Block 50 aircraft. This is an incredible package, the scenery, the aircraft, and the repaints. This is an incredible addition to the MAIW hangar.
