No worries at all Tim. Anything you end up doing would be appreciated.
Possibly, but does FSET deal with mesh? I thought it was just imagery/landclass which isn't really an issue for me, but I haven't looked at it in any detail.

Ah, yes - it's just imagery, as far as I'm aware. It does use SceneProc to generate autogen additions, though I've never got that to work. But no, there's no mesh.

I have (finally) submitted Lossiemouth to the file library. Please allow a bit longer for it to be published.

It's probably something I've done wrong, but I just downloaded your Lossie scenery and found that when I came to install it over the previous version all the files are exactly the same.

The files likely do all have the same names (I didn't check), but the airfield layout itself has been changed. If you open up the scenery in the sim and see an extended northern apron with no Typhoons parked on it then it is the updated version.

Of course you're correct, I have no idea what my system was telling me. I really enjoyed looking around your scenery.

Ha, no worries. Glad you're enjoying it.

I seem to have caught the carrier bug...no, that pun was not intended and I genuinely didn't notice until I typed it...
Not sure how well the CAG aircraft will go, but I'm currently going through the bits of CVW-17 that need creating/updating.

Yes, definitely your fault!
VFA-94 is now ready, will move on to the others.

By the looks of that I will happily take the blame!!!
Any chance you might show some Tomcat love at some point???

Possibly, but I tend to mainly concentrate on current stuff.
Had to take some liberties with the diamonds on the back of this one due to how the fuselage is shaped, but it doesn't look too bad-thats VFA-146 done (this airframe is no longer with them according to Scramble but in the absence of images of a replacement scheme I did it anyway).
EDIT - and VFA-137. Now for the F/A-18Fs and EA-18Gs (I'm aware of the number issue on the wing-already fixed!)

Love to see updated VFA repaints, on a technical note VFA-94 picked up 2 seat F models when they transitioned from the legacy Hornet.

Happy to provide! VFA-94 have ditched the Fs for Es, the first of which arrived in November 2023.

Thanks Tango, seaforces.org only shows pics from May 2023. That would explain why I didn't see them until checking gonavy.jp and Google. VFA-211 switched a few years ago to Es and the Jolly Rogers of VFA-103 are running a mixed set of E/Fs.

Right, thats the Fs done. I think this was my favourite CAG scheme so far. Growlers next, once I've corrected the wing roundel location on all of the previous paints...

Wing roundels corrected now-more of a irritation than anything but they do all now at least match the Redcock CAG aircraft rather than the plane parked next to it in the screenshot above.
Planning to upload CVW-17 as a single pack once I have the rest of the squadrons done. Flightplans will likely need to be sourced from elsewhere though (personally I have these on the actual Nimitz from the recent carrier package, with flightplans edited from one of the others).

VAQ-139 joins the party-now for the CAG aircraft...which they absolutely had to repaint and make more complicated...

I think it turned out reasonably, but not as enjoyable as some of the others.

Everything is looking great! Are there other air wings you going to be working on?
