We'll have to start calling this "Nellis East" here pretty soon.

Hartwig, was I right in thinking that the sign on VFA-37's hangar said "TEAM BULL"? Did you get confirmation on that? It was just a guess I made.

I don't know whether we are right, but "TEAM BULL" would have been my guess, too.
Anyway, it can be easily changed if it proves to be something else.

Hartwig,
Don't know if you want to change the water towers at Oceana...
One is now a off white color and the one with the rotating beacon is now under a shroud for sand blasting and repainting.

Thanks for the info, Les.
I will keep the red and white checkered water tower. The second water tower in my scenery is already white.

The guy is doing this on his own, and looking at the quality of his work, I for one am willing to cut him some slack.

Hey Hartwig,

Quick tech question regarding KNTU. With all the MAIW packages that came into my hard drive, All the new traffic has pushed most of my Tomcats to the east ramps.. Is there a new AFCAD I can get a hold of (or mod this one) that will bring the Cats back to the west ramps, and the hornets and such on the east?

Thanks again.. I hope to see your Oceana package soon...

Derek, as long as the atc_parking_codes-entry in the aircraft.cfg matches (note upper and lower case) the parking code of a particular parking spot and as long as there are enough parking spots available your aircraft should not be pushed anywhere else.

Which scenery and AFCAD are you using at the moment?

Five MAIW packages include a KNTU AFCAD file with three AFCAD files with different dates.

Pkg #65 - Tomcats Sunset (12/18/2008 - 244 parking spots)
Pkg #100 - USN-USMC Airliners (7/18/2008 - 247 parking spots)
Pkg #103 - NAS Whiting Field North (7/18/2008 - 247 parking spots)
Pkg #141 - Reserve Hornets (9/13/2009 - 284 parking spots)
Pkg #159 - Special Use Mentors v2 (7/18/2008 - 247 parking spots)

There should be plenty of parking for FA-18s at KNTU - but most of the 37 new spots in the Reserve Hornets AFCAD are coded F18. Loading the Special Use Mentors packages after the Reserve Hornets package would have eliminated those spots.

All the VF-31 and VF-213 parking spots are coded VF31,F14,F18,M001 & V213,F14,F18,M001.

The traffic file names used in the MAIW packages means the traffic will be loaded in this order

Traffic_MAIW_NAS Whiting North - all aircraft at KNTU loaded and parking assigned, then
Traffic_MAIW_NAS_Lemoore_CVW-2 - all aircraft at KNTU loaded and parking assigned, then
Traffic_MAIW_NAS_Lemoore_CVW-9 - all aircraft at KNTU loaded and parking assigned, then
Traffic_MAIW_NAS_Lemoore_CVW-11 - all aircraft at KNTU loaded and parking assigned, then
Traffic_MAIW_NAS_Lemoore_CVW-14 - all aircraft at KNTU loaded and parking assigned, then
Traffic_MAIW_NAS_Lemoore_VFA-94 - all aircraft at KNTU loaded and parking assigned, then
Traffic_MAIW_NAS_Lemoore_VFA-122 - all aircraft at KNTU loaded and parking assigned, then
Traffic_MAIW_NAS_Lemoore_VFA-125 - all aircraft at KNTU loaded and parking assigned, then
Traffic_MAIW_Reserve Hornets - all aircraft at KNTU loaded and parking assigned, then
Traffic_MAIW_Special USN USMC Mentors - all aircraft at KNTU loaded and parking assigned, then
Traffic_MAIW_Tomcat Sunset - all aircraft at KNTU loaded and parking assigned, then
Traffic_MAIW_USN_USMC_Airliners - all aircraft at KNTU loaded and parking assigned

If any of those F18 squadrons does not have assigned squadron parking on your KNTU AFCAD - their first prioity overflow will put them in the VF31 and VF213 parking spots.

You might want to open the AFCAD and modify the parking assignments for the west ramp parking spots for VF-31 and VF-213 to take out the F18 code. The FA-18, T-34 or other aircraft could still overflow into the F-14 spots - but it would be a much lower priority.

You could also rename the Traffic_MAIW_Tomcat Sunset.bgl file to something like Traffic_MAIW_0_Tomcat Sunset.bgl - which would make the F-14s first to load and park at startup.

I think the scenery is from VAUSN.. (It's in the flightsim.com library). I'm not sure where the AFCAD came from, but the parking spots are pretty close to the painted lines in the scenary..I know there is some tool you can use to alter the parking spots, but I have zero exposer to somthing like this..

I cannot find any scenery to match your description.

If the AFCAD comes from the scenery developer - changing that is something you will have to do.

If you are using an MAIW AFCAD - let use know which one you are using and what changes you want done.
