I hope so, but I don't want to get too ahead of myself.

That's the rest done (no fancy schemes for the helicopters, they don't appear to be current for either squadron and are somewhat beyond my skills anyway). I'm away from my PC for a bit from tomorrow morning, but hopefully I will be able to upload the whole of CVW-17 by the end of the weekend.

The package has been uploaded to the Download Hangar, and will be made available at the Admin's convenience.

Thanks again for doing these up, had to go find a pic of the VAQ-139 Growler, that is one bright CAG jet.

If I'm up at NAS Whidbey Island WA and need some Field Carrier Landing Practice (FCLP), I'm going there.

Absolutely right. Probably gives a fairly good indication of what is cooking.

Are there any plans for the Hawkeye and Greyhound in the new CVW-17 package?

I didn't include any plans, no-I modified some flight plans from the recent carrier package to fly from the Nimitz rather than another carrier, and bodged a few greyhound flights to and from Whidbey Island. Not perfect perhaps, but it does the trick for me. Didn't want to include them in the package as I didn't create them.

Since Dan was the one who did the FPs out of the two of us... If you want to share your modified FPs I am ok with it; but I would say make sure Dan is ok with it, since those are really his... I just made the scenery (airport ADEs, sim objects, and wpts)...

I'm fine with it as well if you wish to use them, as long as due credit is given of course

I found plans for the Hawkeye and the Greyhound. They were in John Young base pack for the planes. Since the number of aircraft, liveries, and registrations were out of date I did not have them installed.

Question, Since I don't have any aircraft carriers in my sim can I use the land FDE and models without a problem?

Texture sheets are texture sheets; so yes they are fully compatible across land based and carrier models... The differences come in on the FDE (aircraft.cfg and .air file); and on the model the only differences are which parts are / are not animated... But that does not affect textures...

The textures are completely compatible with the land versions of the aircraft-should just be a matter of amending the cfg file to suit. Obviously I didn't include every single greyhound in the squadron-only the two assigned to CVW-17.

Thanks Dan and Mason, I will have a further fiddle with the plans and probably attach something to this thread for the time being with credit etc.

I'm trying to finish off a load of different projects (FS and otherwise). These have just been uploaded:

I tried to represent the RAF Buccaneer fleet as it was in early 1992-serials/individual paint schemes may not be completely accurate but I have managed to get plenty of variation in there.

(Yes, I know that what had been the OCU was technically part of 208 Squadron by then, but for the purposes of the paints I have kept it separate).

Very nice indeed. A reminder of days gone by.
