By the way for those who would like to have a flyable F-104 to go along with these packages, the Captain Sim F-104 is on sale at Aerosoft for little money (8€ or ca. 10$) at the moment.
The Captain Sim F104 is fantastic ,however, it don't work with Win7 . I suggest the 104 ,abeit a 104S ,from the great crew @ AERITALIA .Flies ,smokes, AND sounds jist like a 104 . Took me quite a while to hunt this critter bown but it was well worth it to do so .

I allways thought the two seat had better lines than the single seat, never mind, one day

Nice retro repaints. Pitty these are all F-104A instead of F-104G models.

Look at the tail/rudder of this Dutch F-104G. It's larger than a A model

Compare this to the screenshots of the Belgian and German Starfighters.

The enlarged tail fin was originally developed for the two seaters to enhance stability, so all two-seaters had it. It was then found to benefit the single seaters as well so the G and S had it, where as the A and C models had the smaller model.
If I remember correctly only the USAF, Taiwan, Jordan and Pakistan (I think) used the A and C models.
Another difference with the S was that it had smaller twin ventral strakes rather than the large single one of the other models.

There is another small difference: the S, S-ASA and ASA-M, all built in Italy, didn't have the two smaller strakes only but also a central fin with a smaller surface (in the front formed a 45° angle).

The three versions I mentioned look very similar, only a few tiny details, such as antennas and so on, make the difference. Avionics are different though.

Useful info here. I guess it's up to Martin as to whether he intends altering/making new models. If he does then altering the fin really needs to be done, but then creating the S models are quite simple mods.
The two seaters would be extremely welcome, as would the RF-104Gs.

All 104's, from very early on in it's history ,had the ventral fin .
