With the imminent release of the F-5E/F models in some upcoming MAIW packages, I am moving forward with some retro stuff now for this project. Although I normally have released the home country first for most of my modeling projects, the point where I am in my Starfighter project makes it appropriate to start releasing the F-5A/B packages as companion aircraft for countries which used both aircraft. In that regard, the first-out F-5A/B package will be the NF-5 of the Royal Netherlands Air Force, complimenting a near-ready release of my RNLAF F-104G Starfighters. There are eight NF-5A and four NF-5B models, and a total of 42 paints between both aircraft; representing 313, 314, 315, and 316 Squadrons, as well as the Testgroep unit. I have to do final in-game testing and package the whole thing up, should be released by the weekend (and hopefully the Dutch Starfighters will be as well). The RF-5A will make its appearance in future packages as well (Norway, for example).

Woooowwww, this looks great !!! And you started with the right AIr Force straight away !! :D Been waiting for this a long time already...

One thing I noticed though, it seems as if the pitot tube at the nose of the B version is missing ? Or is it just the screenshot ?

If you look very closely at this photo, the pitot blends very well into the fuselage of the aircraft sitting next to this one..... that's my story and I'm sticking to it.... The pitot will be added in of course.

Here are some Easter eggs..... They have matching F-104 paints over on the other thread. These should be at AVSIM by tomorrow. The Ejercito del Aire F-5BMs are not retro, still in use (the ones with the modified Hill grey/grey scheme).

Just a note to everybody....

I am not disappeared, but I am slowed down significantly for the moment. I suffered a significant line-of-duty injury to my shoulder at the end of March (torn rotator cuff), and am trying to rehab and avoid surgery. As a result, I have been put on a light duty profile at my fire department, which actually forces me to go in to work more days a week; therefore I have had significantly less time to model in the off hours. I'm not quitting by any means, but my usual meteoric pace has been fractioned for the time being. I have a couple of things near completion on several of my threads, so I will be posting more pics and projects as I can manage.

I have the RCAF/CAF CF-5 models coming out next, concurrently with the CF-104s for the same air force.
