Maybe Menno likes to do her as a follow up of his Blackbird. It would be a ... perfect match
Not much joy for the repainters, though.

A very quick paint and model change and this is the result. Not bad for a half finished RAF model.
Source files are available on Flightsim.com

I'll wait to see what people think about the UKMIL model before I venture down that road, no point me waisting my time if my model is set aside for another. I'm not feeling the love out there for my model in any case

i think i was given your model to work on ? if i'm right i think it's a cracking model

i did the RAAF,RAF and SAUDI MRTT for myself.

Looks really good to me! Its unfortunate that the other model is for a select few, so it would be hard to compare.

Thank's Ray for your time and effort on this model, I am very pleased you have kept a main model version for your personal use, may be useful for multi-playing on line as non-lod model.
I agree it is a shame that UKMIL would withhold there AI model for paying members of there website but that is there way of doing things over there I am told, and people always have a choice as to whether they wish to pay for the previlage of gaining a new AI model or not.
It's about time I opened my eyes, competition is good I'm told and the best model will aways be used and raved about. Well who am I to rain on the other developers party after he has put in many hours of work on his model. 100 hours for an Airbus is not out the question by the time the lods are made, hell I must be at least 50 hours already on F-35B which still hasn't got the rear animated engine fitted let alone the main model texture mapped and other animated parts working. There has been over 120 downloads of my old MRTT source file on Flightsim.com for which I thought would have spawned A332's everywhere. Just goes to show how thin on the ground actual AI developers have become.
Any way, I've probably spoken out of order once again so please enjoy the AI and scenery models which I have been previlage to be involved with.
Cheer's,
Mark Griggs

Matt is correct. Why does the UKMil model have a centreline landing gear?

This article here has a section saying:
...
The main four-wheel bogie landing gear, the fuselage centre line twin wheel auxiliary gear and the twin wheel nose units are fitted with Goodyear tyres. The runway length for maximum take-off weight is 2,650m and the ground turning radius is 43.6m.
...
But I have no idea if it is true or not.

Well looking on google for a330 mrtt images reveals several including some head on, ground shots, but they is none that show the extra gear.
Maybe its an option for heavy operations.

That sounds like total crap to me, lol
Look's to me like the developer started out making a 767 or an A340 and then changed his mind or maybe used one of those models as a starting point. That would most likely mean the the fuselage and wing is the wrong width, may be ???
But I'm not raining on his parade, promise!
