Thanks for your reply Jon. I use Gimp which doesn't support psp format. When I tried to open it I got an error message saying it couldn't open, and I spent some time on Google last night which confirms that Gimp doesn't support .psp. it's not a huge problem, I can always make my own paint kit.
Cheers
You might want to try Paint.net which is also freeware.
It can open and save Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop formats.
By the way, nice helicopter Sean!

Sean, is it possible to have a copy of the paint kit in .psd format. I don't have PSP and I can't open the .psp file or convert it. I would love to paint some Royal Navy versions of your Wasp.
Thanks a lot.
Converted psd file link in your PMs

Thanks Jim, you're a star.
And thanks Hartwig, I'll give paint.net a try.

Here you go, first cut of a Royal Navy paint, keeping the Hunters company at Yeovilton. Still needs a bit of work to tidy it up, but I've got plenty of time on my hands at the moment.

I am already building the package for conversion, but in this case I happily give it some time! Lovely to add RAF paints!!

The rabbit hole has become something of an interesting journey!
As I said earlier; I wanted to model some ships for my Wasps to operate from, and HMNZS Monowai, an oceanographic survey vessel was my first subject...
Tonight I had a cool moment when 'my AI Helicopter' took off from 'My SHIP!!'
Feeling a bit 'accomplished' this evening
This is the first of a series of sceneries of Monowai, located in many of her haunts with Wasp and boats deployed on good survey missions
More to come!

Modelling of HMNZS Monowai is now complete (thanks to some advice on the 'Planning your projects' thread), next up is placement scenery and flightplans to make a companion package for my Wasp's.
The package will have Monowai in a number (between 6 and 10) 'notable' locations where she operated during her nearly 20 year career as a Hydrographic Survey vessel, Peace-Keeper and Supply vessel.
Here is a teaser of Monowai in Doubtful Sound, South Westland, New Zealand operating a Wasp on one of her survey voayages.
Monowai was known as 'The Ghost of the Coast' as she was often seen cruising around New Zealand, quietly re-mapping the coastline.
Scenery, flightplanning and documentation to go, then it'll be off to the library
