Beautiful mate, that was one of my favourite to paint. That and the F-14B prototype that you will see flitting about.

Hi Paul,

That is a special AI 2 ship model with Mav and Goose inverted that Nick made for me. That and the AI 4-ship diamond formation model I used in the TopGun package itself were experiments that Nick did to see how well he could create multi ship AI formation models. Needless to say he was very successful. :D

so it takes off upside down?

It doesnt take-off at all, or land. It is programmed to spawn at the edge of the visible area, and dissapear once it reaches the other end. Its a flyby only trick. There is no landing gear or any other animations.

Thanks for the reply gents. I'm really looking forward to what you guys got up your sleeves. Maybe something with the Thunderbirds

There is already a Thunderbirds AI Display out there by Mike MacIntyre.

And apart from that the F16 is Henry T's model and as such we cant make any adjustments to it now.

I already have Mike MacIntyre's excellent AI ThunderBird Pack and I wouldn't give it up for anything. It's because of it and his NEUMAI package that really got me interested into military ai. I was thinking of the inverted aircraft, that's all, and I forgot the F-16 didn't belong to MAIW.

Its not that mate. its the fact that making it inverted means making a special model.

I know what you mean, I can say the same in that it was Mikes Thunderbirds package that got me into Military AI.

Thanks Guys,

I am glad that you found the AI Thunderbirds package so inspirational. :D

BTW...That package as well as the MAIW airshow package were bears to create because of the HTAI F-16C FDE. It has some flaws and really needs a serious upgrading that will make it much more compatible with creating AI airshow demonstrations as well as for general military AI use, but I just haven't had the time to create a better one yet. :(

Mike, Nick, watching these screenshots I've had an idea. Unfortunately I'm not a modeller and can't create something by myself so I'll try to explain with my poor English.....
I remember there was a Red Arrows package that had a diamomd nine formation with working gears on all of the a/c and something like a "special effect" or a "feature" bound to flap keys.Pressing F8,the two a/c on right and left of the formation, made a half tonneau and flew inverted over the other.
So, what I'm thinking is :
We have (...sorry, YOU have...) a fantastic Tomcat, its wings sweeps relating to the speed.I don't know how it exactly works, but I think probably it is possible to modify this movement.
Try to explain better....
Now,somewhere, in some files, written in some language  ..... there is something like :
Model=Aircraft with sweeping wings
Moving object=WINGS
If speed=250Knots then move WINGS

Do you think it's possible to have :
Model=two aircrafts with left a/c flying inverted
Moving object=LEFT A/C
If speed=250Knots then move LEFT A/C

The movement of the left a/c will make the model able to take off and land as a normal couple of aircrafts, then,at 250Knots, the one on the left will do a half tonneau and fly inverted over the other.
I hope that I explained well what I mean.

Please,if this is a too much stupid idea,do not ban me from forum....

Cheers

Nick, Mike and the whole MAIW team you guys did an awsome job with this package. Here's a flightplan I made using my Aggressor (I think) with Mav and Iceman hot on tail.

Nice shots Paul. You seem to be another one who needs to turn your texture sizes up in FS, your name on that Aggressor should be very clear.
