Joe,
Here is my KLGA for LGA 2004. Use this for an example if you like.

Les

look at N40.19 W72.56 to see my STAR.

You need to have your dummy runway headings between rwy 04 and rwy 13. In other words the first dummy runway heading would be

32.08 + 7.4883 = 39.568 degrees,
then 47.057 degrees, etc.

Just keep adding 7.4883 until you approach 122.22 degrees. Or just use Les's spreadsheet, of course.

Mea Culpa

I knew there might be something I had missed - I'm a bit rusty... :)

I've started a thread at the following link that might be helpful as well (quite detailed discussion, don't go there if you've not got your favourite "medicine" with you, Pete  ).

Nice one Joe, glad you got there in the end. It freshened up my own memory a bit as well

Jim Vile is about to release a very comprehensive guide to the STAR technique (which I believe he invented in the first place) on Jon 'ScruffyDuck' Masterson's website. It will also include a newly developed advanced technique for more flexibility in choosing which runway ends are "linked" as being parallel.

I'll post a link when it's ready...

For Les "maddog65" :)

Here's a link that is pertinent to both KLGA and the range at which one must place the "crosswind" runways.

See post 2: jvile's response.

Hope it helps,
