As promised, here are some pics of progress on the P-3. Lots of work to be done still. Going to redo the glass at the cockpit and many details to be added as well as finishing animation.

Nice Bee!

Any fancy animations planned?

working on the gear and doors now. props are next. The Fowler flaps are the only "fancy" animations that I plan to try. But just like the T-38, if someone wants to help, I would welcome it. The project would probably go faster and look better  !

And if we had an AI Nimrod we could reproduce the last photo. Sigh....

Maybe the UKMIL gang will come up with something... :)

Hey guys, a couple of questions. First, does anyone know how to speed up an idling prop. Mine turn very slowly and others I've seen are faster.

Second, I cannot get my main gear doors to operate. When I compile, I get an error message saying a 'trigger'was not found for them. The nose gear doors work fine. What's going on? :?

Very rarely open bomb bay doors...

Most ordnance we are tasked to carry anymore is the Harpoon, SLAM, SLAM-ER, and Maverick... So bombbay for the most part is only used for luggage.

Check the name ...
 I assume you mean the naming convention for animated parts. Thanks, I'll try that. I have them named something other than l_gear... :D

That's why.
"Stock animation" works just like our different "custom animations" - you should use exact [front]name of a part, to have an associated code work.

New and much improved version. Redid cockpit windows, redid nos 2 and 3 nacelle's to move main gear back where it should be and deepen gear bays, redid MAD boom and adjacent tail and fin. Whew  . Mike, sorry about the main gear locations; I had those too far forward but it still acts crazy in the sim: tail heavy on the ground.

Anyone know about speeding up idling props?

We're getting there. Thanks for all of the feedback.

Jake,

I was able to speed up the idling props some through a change in the JBAI P-3C FDE that I am doing for you. It isn't a perfect solution, but it does improve the situation. I have received your latest model and will check it out later today.

Thanks Mike. However, I don't think we should call this "JBAI". That name's already been taken  .

Then maybe "AGAI" for AeroGator AI?

I had to post a couple of shots. "Majic Mike's" FDE has got it flying now :D . still working on the top cockpit windows and the nose gear doors look a little big. Many other small things and of course, no textures

BTW Mike, I haven't seen any rough landings. May be because I added the gear compression feature  .
