Jeez! Who maintains their KC767's? Air France?
4 x KC-767J (404 Squadron) Nagoya Komaki (RJNA)
87-3601
87-3602
97-3603
07-3604
RJNA...that's not in my airport list or sim anywhere. Anyone know of this one or is it a new airport that needs to be made?

any comments on my choice of plan type before I start
How about a stop in ROAH?

RJNA is the new designator for the airport which is RJNN in FS2004. It was changed when the new airport for the region - RJGG - was opened on Feb 2005. J-Air still does commercial passenger flights to RJNN/RJNA but that is all. Significantly reduced open terminal area and commercial parking. The military side has expanded with more aircraft being assigned.Angry_Anderson wrote:RJNA...that's not in my airport list or sim anywhere. For FS2004 - use RJNN instead of RJNA. FSX has the RJNA designator for that airport.

I would think support of a training exercise near Hokkaido and another below Kyushu would be useful. Maybe even a trip out to Iwo Jima occasionally.james wrote:need some advice on my choices for the plans
Given current political tensions - something over the Sea of Japan near North Korea might also be happening.

Is there any way to change the designator permanently in FS2004 ? AFCAD ?

Re: Bored
Yes it can be changed - kind of.
AFCAD is definitely the wrong tool to use. AFX will not do the job properly if you cannot edit approaches with AFX - which I cannot with my latest version - 1.09. For FS2004 the tool to use is Airport Design Editor X.
BACKUPS and Preperation - make a backup of your current RJNN AFCAD/AFX files. Make sure they are in a safe place. Besure to identify all traffic files which have RJNN - there are 8 airline and 2 GA files from WoA which use the RJNN airport - The pax and cargo airlines need to be changed to use RJGG. I also would not recommend you attempt this if you have not installed a scenery for RJGG for the commercial and cargo aircraft operations.
GA traffic should go to RJNA - don't forget the default GA AI traffic if you use it and any traffic created by "GA Traffic".
J-Air, a subsidary of JAL, has that airport as their main hub - The WoA J-Air package uses the designator RJNA. You will need parking for up to 9 CRJ-200 aircraft, and maybe one heavy gate spot for the occasional charter.
Military Traffic goes to that airport. Fix all the flightplans/ traffic files to fly to the new designator.
The process is two fold. You must make RJNN inactive, then you must make RJNA active.
EDIT - See next post.
That will make RJNN completely unusable, but it will still be present in the select aircraft list and the GPS nearest airports list. It will also appear on the Map View and the GPS map.
You then need to load the stock RJNN airport and save it with the designator changed RJNA, and verify that the approaches show up correctly in the GPS in FS2004 under the RJNA designator. Once you have that correct, you can start working on parking for the military aircraft.
I have not tried to load the MAIW RJNN AFCAD file into ADEX and import the stock elements and change the designator. The MAIW AFCAD will need some modification to hold the KC-767 anyway.

Re: Bored
Revision to the above.
Use AFCAD to remove everything from the default RJNN, including the NAVAIDS. ADE will orphan the ILS and set it to 18W/36W.
Use ADE to open the MAIW RJNN .BGL file (or your modified RJNN AF2 file). Go to Tools and Load Stock Data - importing everything. Then go to File Properties and change the airport designator. Save. Verify the parking and airport layout are as you desire. Check the Approach View and make sure the three approaches are listed and complete. (Walk down through the steps and ensure the sequence follows correctly)
Save, run the Fault Finder, then compile.
ADE for FS2004 comes with and installs the FS2004 BGLComp.exe compiler from the FS2004 SDK. It is free.

You can search for "Polish air force" on wikipedia, does this give you the info you require?

Iv done the KDC10's of Holland theres only 2 of em but i was wondering if people want variation in the paints so that means i split the flightplans into 2 aircraft in the one plans or a single paint for both of em.
what would people prefere 2 ac entries with variations in the paints for both or 1 ac entry with a default paint for them

Re: Bored
James,
Just in case you weren't aware the Dutch also had a DC-10 that was added to the fleet.
On the rest, I think that if you were able to provide separate paints and fltsim entries that would be great. If people wanted to simplify it themselves they could do, but it would be more difficult the other way.
