The Dassault/Dornier/Kawaskai T-4 look-a-likes are taking a bit longer than expected with only seven finished being painted of the 30 at Ashiya. It turns out that there are currently three different anniversary celebration paint schemes, an assortment of different fuel tank cartoons and a wild assortment of stickers. Of the 30 planes, there are 14 non standard paints.
Thank you JASDF for this....
And Hamamatsu is even worse.

A little experiment to see how the PSAI Alpha Jet E does as a stand in for a Kawasaki T-4. There is no true AI T-4 and the KBT version does not do very well as AI, especially with more than a handful present at any given time. Ashiya alone is supposed to have more than 30 of these buggers with about 200 total in service.
i think it's a goog idea !

A perfect example of why work is progressing slowly on these:
All five lined up have different paints. And no, I didn't arrange them that way. This was just how they were parked when I loaded up Ashiya to do some flight plan testing the first 15.

It may be a pain in the ass but it will be worth it at the end. I think you are finding out why Graham King used to say 'why can't they all be grey?'.

Here are paints and flight plans for the 33 aircraft at Ashiya:

It also included two updated scenery files to handle the new traffic load. You will still need the rest of the files from the original scenery release for to work right. Three different models of the PSAI Alpha Jet E are used. Double_Fuel, Double_Clean and Single_Clean

More Dorneir T-4s.
This time, paints and FPs for the 20 aircraft assigned to Shireibu Hikotai at Iruma. These aircraft serve as the JASDF Headquarters flight, so they tend to get about more than the training aircraft.
I have also included two update files for the previous Iruma scenery. Just copy them on top of the old files and everything should work fine.

As far as I know, Shireibu did not do a 60th anniversary aircraft. They are just wearing 60th anniversary badges on their intakes.

What's the worst that could happen? All I'm going to do is paint up some T-4s. It's not like I'm going to...

Updates to Ray's paints or completely new?

These are new. Ray did an excellent job on his, but he only did about half the actual number of birds JASDF has. I am doing the Eagles as I do the T-4s for each unit.

I have long accepted that I'm going to some special flight simmer heathen hell long ago, so might as well keep the hijinks going right?

Paints and FP for the 801st TTS... which of course is a completely and totally fictional unit from the anime and manga called "The Blue Sky Girls Squad", or 801 TTS Airbats in the US.
So yes, only the nerdiest of the nerds should think of putting this one in the sim.... an I probably need a straight jacket.

Okay, update to the plan for the F-15Js. The prototype above was done on the NBAI model and the colors were matched from the flyable Coral Photoreal textures. I have however, very kindly been given access to the paint kit developed by Weescotty and GrahamS for the KRAI F-15J model and am switching production over to that one, so I hope everyone is willing to download the MAIW Nyutabaru package to get those models if they want updated F-15Js elsewhere.
201 is done and 203 should follow quickly. Then I'll move on and do F-15 units with their attached T-4s.

Is there a shadow layer missing....?
Or it is just the angle the shot is from?
There should be a shadow that runs down the side then towards the bottom (outlined in red)
Also just noticed that the AAM-5 is starting to show up more often.
If you aren't too fussed it is close enough to the IRIS-T missile (-4cm diff in length,-1mm diff in diameter) that I could use the IRIS-T 'model' from my Gripens in its place.
Also update the Sidewinders with the 'notched' forward fins of the type 99.
Wouldn't take too long.

I turned off the shadow layer while I was positioning some of the markings on the TAC Meet aircraft and forgot to turn it back on. I also forgot to turn on the layer for the 60th Anniversary stickers, so this first batch is going to get a rerun to put both of those back on.
I'd love to see update missiles.

Bad news, good news....
Bad news - Can't find the Test AAM-4 FSDS file.
Good news - There is still a way (takes longer) to get the missiles off the MSFS one.
In the meantime been playing with the AAM-3 - This is supposed to be a camera pod version, but it does show the notched fwd fins.

Looking good.
I find myself suddenly shipped off to Atlanta without my laptop, so there won't be any productive work on this end for a few days.

Because I can never only work on one project at a time....
http://www.mediafire.com/download/d22o7 ... su_T4s.zip
Includes paints and flight plans for 47 aircraft belonging to 31 and 32 Kyoiku Hikotai at Hamamatsu. Also included are two updated files for the previous Hamamatsu scenery to open up enough parking for them.
