There is a UKMil AI Nimrod MR1/MR2/R1 out there for FS9 by Brian Franklin. It no longer exists on the UKMil site, but someone here will have it. I have the FSX versions, if you want to try those.

Nobody has the right to over-rule what you want to build Gavin. Hat's off to you for taking on the Nimrod and further adding to the developer resource here. Blender uses some of the same principles as 3Dmax and that's the big brother of Gmax, so if there's anything I might be able to advise on, just ask.

the whirlwind helicopter would certainly add some colour

Fin, you have made 10 suggestions so far. Are these aircraft you particularly want and will use regularly, or are you just finding gaps? What scenery will you put these aircraft in?

thanks for the kind words john. im sorry about all these suggestions i understand ive made a lot of them. im going to narrow it down to whirlwind venom and vampire. i particularly want these. im going to use the uk2000 vfr airfields scenery packs.

I would forget the Whirlwind. They tended to be dispersed all over the UK and abroad too. They would need 800ft overlaid runways to work properly. That's not something I want to take on, particularly for 3 sim versions.
The venom and vampire are better suggestions, but again, they were built in large numbers and I would probably only provide some specimens for others to paint up and flight plan. That's of course if I decided to do them. There are probably more contemporary subjects to do first, but they are worth adding to the list.

That would be nice for Swiss retro skies.

i doubt this aircraft i would like (the anson) would even be a possibility

Absolutely right Fin. The Anson is not a possibility from me I'm afraid.
I'd often thought about the Beaufighter in a war-time setting at Langham airfield in Norfolk (I like to drive through the village and over the remains of the taxiways when I am up there), but there are other present day projects that I think would have more interest.
As the Gazelle is taking shape, I keep thinking that a Lynx/Wildcat would be good to go with it. I really only need to concern myself with AFCAD overlays and not worry about the base scenery itself.

I have often thought that the Mossie would be good, but then again I want everything. If I had the Mossie I would then want the Hornet.
That is the trouble with open request lists is that it generates more requests than can possibly be done in a lifetime by one person.

Bit of a thread hijack but if you want WW2 AI (Mossie, Anson etc) never under estimate the resources that are available via CFS2.
This is Bruno "brunosk" Escaravages Mossie NFII. It is a 100% GMAX model and it looks fine pulled into MCX so I would imagine that you could use it as an AI in FS9 with little work. For P3D it would need conversion of course.
Now back on course.

another aircraft i would particularly like is the Shackleton but im not sure that will happen because of the amount of airframes and variants (aew2 mr1 mr2 mr3 t2 and t4)

Fin, check a bit the forum and what has been said in the past.
Although the Shackleton is high on many wish lists John has said several times that this is one he will not pick.
So no sense in throwing it towards him again and again. Maybe one of the other authors may pick this one up.
I had to wait years for the SR-71, and then Menno did not only make the Habu but the Valkyrie a short time later.
So patience is needed for us who are not able to create a flower pot in the sim
From mobile hence short

I'm still mulling over doing a new B-1B this year. Nick's old version is pretty, well.... old these days..
