I'm in two minds Steve. For the vast majority of the first 3,000 I worked at Avsim and had to process all those files!! :smt005

Well done Mike and the new model (as usual) looks great.

+1 Mike, I just hope you get at least a round of thank you's for each upload. I've searched your name on Avsim (not Google) to find years of repaints both pre and post hack.

Thanks for supporting the hobby.

I have had a flood of congrats from various people, on this thread and via email, for this latest benchmark. Thanks to everybody for supporting my work, that's all I ever asked when I started doing this.

I just did an accounting of files, the actual file count, not counting contributed paints to MAIW packages, is 4,160. The only sites I have ever uploaded directly to are AVSIM and AVSIM.rus, but my files have migrated all over the web in the hobby. I don't consider the MAIW files in my count, because those are group projects, with multiple contributors. I have received many thanks and compliments over the years, and some constructive criticism as well here and there (not a bad thing), so I consider myself paid in full in the accolade department.

With the upcoming AMX model for Giorgio, I will have completed and released nine new models for 2014 in the first 5 months, when I pledged 12 new models for the entire year.

More Frogfoots, Foxbats, Fencers, and a few other things on this thread to come......

This is the week of the service pack. I just released a huge 112MB service pack for my B-52s, and I have released a little one for the Tu-95s. This one fixes an XML syntax error which may affect part visiblity of ground equipment when in flight. I have only received one fan observation about it, but for every one gripe there are probably ten more who are just living with it, so I fixed it, it only took about thirty minutes. The file is at AVSIM, and it covers every one of my Tu-95/142/114/126 models, check the documentation.

The Tu-95MS is one of a growing list of MPAI models which will show up on the IVAO client server. They have to be slightly modified to suit the IVAO server, but I am delighted to have my work extend into that part of the sim community.

Today is a big chunk of Frogfoots. I am publishing parts 2 and 3 today, a combined 34 models and 137 textures for the current Russian Air Force operation. The variants included are the Su-25 (late loadouts), Su-25SM upgrade, Su-25T/Su-39, Su-25UB, and Su-25UTG naval training variant. Miljan wanted to see how I would hang ordnance on these models, Parts 2 and 3 really define that today (be careful what you ask for, lol). I think with these, I have done all of the model work I need to, the rest of the exports are just repainting.

Hey Mike,
I downloaded a vast majority of your models and paints, and I wanted to give my thanks as well. You have a kind of a savant type talent when it comes to modeling these planes right down to the minor details, you have done a really beautiful job you can tell you take a lot of pride in your work, and it shows. It also shows that you are extremely knowledgeable about these planes, some of which are only operated by foreign air forces, so the fact that you can get all the information, details and paint schemes right with so many models is really a tribute to your personal work. I am extremely happy with every model I have downloaded of yours, and I look forward to days when Avsim releases your new stuff.

So thank you for all your work, it is truly awesome and it has changed my sim for the better. I would also like to thank your wife and family, because clearly this has to take up a lot of time and however you balance your family life with the amount of time this stuff has to take, well that is also a talent within itself.

Great job! Are there any flightplans available for the Su-25 series yet? Keep up the phenomenal work Mike!

There is a small typo on the Su-25SMs and a few of the Su-25UBs. I mis-spelled VVS ROSSII on the tail, it's in Cyrillic, and it just didn't jump out at me. I will clean it up with a little update rolled into the next package release, probably later today.

Oops......

Starting to research flightplans, but a bit bummed out that for the UTG/UBP version only Severomorsk-3 exist as scenery. Novofedorivka can't be found anywhere (and it's probably not used much, if at all these days), the only scenery I could find of Yeysk doesn't have the new carrier practice 'deck' yet (it's faintly visible in the photos NATO released a few months back, so I guess it's been completed), and the Admiral Kuznetsov scenery isn't included in the freeeware version of the IRIS MiG-29K pack (while the AlphaSim version has gone AWOL).

The joys of working with military AI traffic in Russia

Here is the rest of the Su-25 project. This is parts 4, 5, and 6, and will encompass the entire export/Soviet successor use of the aircraft, not counting what exports were in part 1. I spared no Photoshop time, and did full serial runs for most everything here, except for the previous export users. A detailed explanation of which parts cover which era of aircraft is in the documentation, so that the current-world people can have their aircraft, and the retro-heads can have theirs. The three parts together are 34 models and 247 repaints, another example of giving birth in the mad paint shop.....

.... Also, the update for the mis-spelled VVS aircraft will be a separate file, it was around 60 serials, so it was pretty big.

Everything is going to the AVSIMs today.
