Hi Click,

In the Ominato release on AVSim one FSX texture is missing - 25K 8270 (I thought I let you know in case you want to replace the archive).

Komatsu has gone to the upload queue at Avsim.

Here's what you'll need for object libraries for it to work:
  • Atusgi Object Library - MAIW Atusgi Package
  • Beaufort Object Library - MAIW MCAS Beaufort Package
  • Fence JS - Common MAIW library
  • FS9 Jetways SS 1 - fs9_jetways_ss_1_v2.zip
  • GA hangars SS Vol 2 - ga_hangars_ss_vol_2_v1.zip on avsim
  • GGSE - ggse_j3.zip on avsim
  • JGSE - jgse_j4.zip on Avsim
  • Lights SS V2 - lights_ss_v2+.zip
  • MAIW ABO - Just about any MAIW Package
  • MAIW Cargo - Most MAIW packages
  • MAIW Polish Objects Library - MAIW Polish Air Force MiG-29s package
  • MAIW RAF Hangers Library - MAIW RAF packages
  • Osan Lib - maiw_osan_ab_v2.zip
  • Parking Lots Large SS - parking_lots_large_ss.zip on Avsim
  • RJCJ Has lib - chitose_rjcc_rjcj.zip on Avsim

Most of them are old hands from my previous projects.

I think I remember seeing repaints (and maybe flightplans) for new JMSDF C-130's. Was it in this thread? Or was it in a different thread? Or am I just imagining it?

JMSDF C-130Rs:

http://www.militaryaiworks.com/forums/18/14650

The fourth airframe has been turned over to JMSDF now and all four are with 61 Kokutai, so another update is in order soon.

There is something else lurking right around the corner... For everyone not able to get Mr. Kings excellent work, a new version:

The first batch will be included with a reworked Matsushima scenery.

Thanks! I have flightplans for 61 Kokutai using 3 YS11's (made by Jason King). So I am using those for now. Then if/when the JMSDF C-130's are update I will switch.

I've put the links for Graham King F-2 repaint in a other post some weeks a go. I've the files and share them.

That is correct.

Cn 382-4629 is 9051
Cn 382-4635 is 9052
Cn 382-4615 is 9053
Cn 382-4677 is 9054

Cn 382-4563 will be 9055
Cn 382-4696 will be 9056

9055 and 9056 are still believed to be undergoing refitting at Hill.

Availability is only one of the reasons to redo the series.

03-8105 was one of the F-2Bs assigned to 21 Squadron when Matsushima was hit by the Tsunami, but it was at Nagoya being overhauled instead of being at home and became the only undamaged aircraft. It was sent to Misawa where it was 21 Squadrons only aircraft and continued the F-2B pilot training mission alongside 3 Squadron and 8 Squadron. For this years Misawa open house it and an aircraft from 3 squadron and 8 squadron were all painted in identical markings and the phrase Ganbarou! Tohoku, which has become the rally cry for rebuilding from the Tsunami.

Upadated Matsushima is now up on Avsim:

The scenery has been updated to reflect the first phase layout changes to the air base after the Tsunami: New UH-60J apron and hangars and a relocated taxiway to the Blue Impulse apron. Also included are my redone 21 Hikotai F-2Bs with two special paints.

What is the proper procedure for installing the JASDF Bases? As Clickclickdoh notes above I need add additional items to FS2004 to get the most out of the scenery. This info is also contained in the readme file. My question is do I add them to the scenery's sub-folders (scenery/texture) I'm trying to add or do I install them to the main FS2004? Where I get confused is when it mentions addons that contain the same items. For example Atusgi and Beaufort Scenery Object library both contain fence and ABO bgls. Do I copy one over the other, or am I suppose to have these sceneries active in FS2004 when trying use the JASDF scenery?

If this has been covered before, please point me in that direction and I'll read it. I couldn't find it.

Thanks for the great scenery and AI! We have some very talented designers. I find myself watching the aircraft more than I fly.

Hi Mike,
What I do is have an active folder in the addon folder containing all the common files used in MAIW sceneries.
Mine is named MAIW Object Library containing both a scenery and texture sub folder.
Just keep one of the most up to date copy of each file from the various packages.

Hi Mike,

The process is pretty simple if you have insalled the MAIW projects that the libraries come from, fs9 will find them. So, if for example the project calls for libraries from MAIW Atsugi and MAIW Beaufort, if you have those packages installed already, the new scenery will find those objects. No other effort needed on your part, just make sure the MAIW packages are activated below the new scenery.

For the libraries that don't come from MAIW packages, I just toss them in <your fs9 install>\addon scenery\scenery. That way instead of having a dozen copies of each library spread out through all the scenery folders, you only have one common call. You shouldn't have to copy any files into the folders of my scenery projects for them to work.

Let me know if this helps you out.

Steve and Clickclickdoh,

Thank you! I incorporated your suggestions and everything works well. I appreciate you explaining this to me. I was trying to make this a lot harder than it needed to be.
