OK Nick (and guys),
here's my version of a maintenance model:

With this variation all LOD1 model stuff is ready, so I switch to wireframe texturing right now.

Great mate, thats exactly what Ive been working on for the F-15. Not got around to a step ladder yet, but had planned on it, also another tool chest.

The second canopy in this shot is so that the canopy is always open when this bird is on the deck.

BTW: I love the paras. That is amazing. Do you reckon this may call for a string of packages. Maybe we can talk Henry T into letting you redo his Herc and add the paras, or the C-141. Imagine an AI para drop with about 10 aircraft all dropping. WOW!!!

So are you Mike. Ive long been wondering what extra things could be done to really spice up AI, and you have the answer. I used to simulate bombing missions in a Tornado, but to do it against an AI Sub would be amazing.

Nick,

Is the airdrop in this screenshot something like what you were thinking of?

This type of airdrop works much like the afterburner effect that we all use and does not require any model changes. It can be set up to either drop paratropers or cargo or both. :D

WOW, is it ever, that is exactly what I meant. Ah I see so its an effect file not a model. Works well. I did a bit of experimenting with Herc para drops at one stage but gave up as I was a little out of my depth. Didnt have time to go into it alot.

Nick,

Yes, it is an effect file and you can adjust the elapsed time to and duration of the air drop. :)

When I was experimenting with creating an airshow package, I had a Herc set up to fly an IFR missed approach and drop the paratroopers right over the runway after it went missed. Now I could actually have a gaggle of them do a flyby and drop both cargo and paratroopers. Now wouldn't that be sweet?

I was also thinking of duplicating the 20 ship C-17 air drop that was flown down at Charleston, SC a while back:

Wouldn't that be someting to watch!

Looks fantastic Rysiek, I think you will have many fans of this bird if you want to release it publicly.

Amazingly good looking job Rysiek. You are now one of the AI model masters. I am looking forward to the completion of this one.

Thank guys!
The idea of the model was to gift both military and GA AI worlds ...

The working part of this weekend was devoted to finishing wireframe texturing - here's the base paintkit layout (quite crowdy):

Hey Rysiek I've been searching my files the last few days as I remember I had a brilliant An-2 three-view including some variants like floats. Found it today so if you want I can scan it in and send it over to you. A quick comparison with the model looks good but I'll go over it properly tomorrow. Hopefully not too late to add another version :D

Thanks buddy but I'm afraid I own every possible An 3view
As to versions - float make some problems as it has different FDE (?).
I am also out of texture space now.
Apart of that I do not think there are many float things around.
Let's take it like this - if a feedback will be enough then there always will be a possibility to release float version (and An-3 version as well).
