Fire streaming out behind. He calmly made a touch & go still streaming flames.
I landed and took two pics on his next go around. There was another 130 shooting T&G at the same time and it did not display any flames.
Is this an .fx file that caught fire

or is it something you all had added on purpose?

Or is it because I haven't deleted it (Leopard 1308) and let him go to New Mexico?
Hey Joe,
No thats a common fault with that model during Dusk Dawn and Night. There is no fix that I know of.

A well known side effect of the smoke effect for it. It happens at dusk, and dawn I think. You will probably find that the other C-130 didn't have the smoke effect.

I remember flying around Gander and seeing one of these flame throwing 130's , the pic there looks like a JATO . Dusk and dawn it does show.

Ah! Can one delete the .fx file to "fix" the side effect?
Or just not look at these 130's around dawn & dusk?

What happens if I ignore them and one has a "real fire emergency"? A dilemma!

Agree with Joe, you can just switch out the smoke .fx, try the smoke from the E-3 package, not as bad but not as realistic as the C-130's look short final, full flaps and those nice smoke trails.

Yep, I would sooner swap the smoke effect before completely removing smoke from the C-130. It would take away too much realism to not have the smoke.

There was a chap over at the AIG forums that claims that his system does not suffer this effect. Search for that thread over there, might have something useful in it.
