There's also an update for the models now, reducing the polycount to the 7000 region...

Yes I'm speak Russian, but my English is very poor.

Sorry.
So, model Il76 not finished, work in progress. I hope will rework model (more accurate), texturesed LODs, add some models and change mapping.
As I know LOD1 now 3292 poly and model have 6 LODs

Where did you get those repaints? I haven't seen a single one
It would be great to be able to replace every single installed SKJ IL-76 repaint. And I know there are far more airlines (and even more liveries

) of this plane flying around in real life...

They were on the same screen as the model download with a whole list of airlines.

An update !
Due to some personal issues I stopped work on all current projects for a few weeks.
Finally finished off the interior and got the beast kneeling !

This eye-candy does tend to add a lot of polygons though.
Just to keep on topic, it appears Rulexy has a new
3,300 poly 6-LOD IL-76 on the way !

Nicely done Drew
One of these days we will meet at some airport with our respective "beast"

Yep I reckon it'd be great to see them parked next to each other !

How do you get it to kneel and have opening doors? And where does the ramp go when the door is closed? Can't wait for her to be finished though!

In ref to that avsim.ru IL-76....
One post indicated
LOD1: 11 592
LOD2: 5 192
LOD3: 514
A later post shows they "wrestle" with the same issues you modellers here do. (this is a machine translation and hence, rough):
"Good day, friends. Thanks for the support.
Now it sat with the optimization, it came out on the average approximately thus: LOD1 - 6000, LOD2 - 3000 (plyus\minus depending on modification). It is possible to still cut, but I fear this it will affect the forms but it will not give considerable reduction in the ranges, nevertheless Ilok the very figuristaya machine.
Can who it will share with experiences, as still it is possible to optimize? If we remove glazing - this it will strongly facilitate model?"
Oh, and the modeller has already got a preliminary A-50 version - just not multi-LOD'd.

Sheer genius

... also XML, control nodes, and hierarchies.
All the interior bits aren't displayed while the engines are running.
I'm still fiddling with the LODs. It's not looking too bad at the moment, and the FPS is good, but some of the shifts are pretty visible.
This is the current polycount for the "Basic" model, without the animations. (Nose version is a tad higher)
LOD1: 5,173
LOD2: 4,929
LOD3: 4,213
LOD4: 3,687
LOD5: 2,981
LOD6: 1,738
LOD7: 1,276
LOD8: 664
LOD9: 150
LOD10: 74
LOD11: 46
I'm sure it could be lower, but not without detracting from appearance more than I'd like. You're not likely to see 50 of them parked on a ramp, and even if you do they won't destroy your frames.

It would be great to get some sort of a package including flightplans for every An-124 flying at the moment. (Polet, Antonov Design Bureau, Volga-Dnepr, Libyan Arab Air Cargo).
