I've just uploaded the last of my Lynx repaints, for now anyway. Firstly the French Navy Lynxes of 31F, 34F, 35F and ES20. I've also included AFCADS for their bases at Lanveoc, St Mandrier and St Raphael. I was going to produce full scenery for theses bases, but unfortunately I don't have the time to do them. If any one would like to produce scenery for these bases that would be great.

Next up are the Lynx AH1s of 655 Sqn Army Air Corps based at Aldergrove.

And lastly Lynx ZD560 used by the Empire Test Pilots School at Boscombe Down.

Moving on from the Lynx project, I have just uploaded some repaints of the Tornados operated by the German Navy's MFG 1 based at Schleswig around 1986.

Many thanks to Derek for MFG1!

And that brings me to think of MFG2, that was based at ETME/Eggebek, if my memory isn't too faulty.

Are there any sceneries and/or AFCADS for Eggebek out there, other than the one I have from "somewhere" dated 2012?

You are correct. We did a Sqn exchange visit with them when they were on F-104Gs.

I'm glad you like the repaints. I think the only scenery available for Eggebek is the one by Chris A Brown and Menno van den Boogaard from 2012, which sounds like the one you already have.

I have to go and try it out again, I converted it to P3D use and can't remember if it worked...

Below is like ETME/Eggebek looks right out of the conversion tool, I think I need to recompile it with the P3D v. 5 SDK and add an exclusion to get rid of the lake.

I've uploaded a couple more packages to the upload. Firstly a few Alouette IIs of the French Navy, to keep the Lynx company at Lanveoc and Saint Raphael. There isn't a lot of information out there about the French Navy Alouette IIs, so I've only painted a few aircrfat, including a couple of fictional ones to boost the numbers.

Secondly I've uploaded packages for the Strikemasters operated by 130 Squadron Singapore Air Force based at Tengah. These are done for both FSX and FS9. Please allow time for Martin to upload them to the Library.

I'm pretty sure an exclusion won't work, as water is 'baked' into the P3D world model. You can create a new land area in SBuilderX, or you can cover the water with a new surface polygon, but you can't 'exclude' it because it isn't a bgl overlay.

I think cover the water with a surface polygon is what I need, I will try that.

I found out the hard way that an exclude didn't work.

Just confirm we are talking about ETME? There is no lake there either in real life or in any of the sims. The stock airfield is in the right place, too (unusually!). If you are seeing a lake, it's been introduced by something else. Have you got any other scenery software running?

Just to add... there is another ETME here: https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads ... b-scenery/

Tim,

It sure is ETME. I am using photoscenery by MatthiasKNU, and that may be the cause. I will need to talk to him about it, and also check out the scenery from Flyawaysimulation. I will report back on this.

And there sure is no lake there in real life. The site of the former base is right to the west of the rail line on which I go to Hamburg every couple of months, just north of the town of Schleswig (I live in Flensburg north of there). And south of Schleswig you can actually see the main gate and the Tornado gate guardian of Schleswig/Jagel AB from the train.

Oh, and I should post a link to the scenery - it's HUGE and it's FREE - from Matthias:

https://www.fsxforum.de/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=19503

It covers not only Germany, but a real lot of real estate on the planet.

Just downloaded the ETME from Flyawaysimulation, and that is the one I have. I searched for the other ETME mentioned above and found it, plus a set of MFG2 flight plans for FS9 on AVSIM. I will test all this and report back.
