And instead, it's more spectacular than ever. MSFS2024 is mature, with SU3 the stability is fantastic. Have you really tried it or do you just read the posts of people who are afraid of change? There are dozens of military aircraft and helicopters more realistic than ever before, dozens and dozens of truly spectacular military airports. All that's missing is AI military traffic... MSFS2024 could be the pinnacle of MAIW. But as always, clinging to the past is the easiest way out for those who fear change.
No offense to anyone.
Think about it.

Wow that is the most clueless post I have ever read.... and obviously written by someone who has no development or modeling experience... First off no "it is not just excuses"... Second, there are lots of issues with MSFS 2024 while some have been resolved many have not; as I recall AIG had to do a lot of third party dev to get their stuff to work properly and incorporate a lot of it through their AIGTC plugin interface not sim native .bgl files and folder based aircraft... MSFS has not made anything truly great yet but mostly a kiddie video game with very pretty graphics, crashes are still not realistic last I heard, while weapons may be displayed, they are not allow to be active (what a f***ing joke), and DRM rights are still restricted so developers like VRS and SSW cannot incorporate full military systems and functioning weapons systems as third party addons... So those of us who would consider a change to MSFS 2024 if they would allow third parties such as VRS or SSW to fully incorporate their functioning weapons systems as third party addons are not interested... If MSFS were to change their policy and let such things occur; as well as work out all the bugs and make the system more uniform with FSX / P3d; I might reconsider my position... The fact of the matter is this has nothing to do with "fear of change" but rather a refusal to accept kiddie crap... As for "clinging to the past" again not really an issue... Admittedly, I for one do have a lot invested in P3d addons over the years CS 757,767,777, L1011, AS F-14X, IFE addons, SSW addons SWS addons, VRS SB and TP, Glowing Heat, this list goes on... I have way more invested in the addons than the sim cost in the first place... Yes replacing these addons would add up but there are sales out there... The simple fact of the matter is that I think MSFS is not there yet and I for one refuse to spend my time developing for a platform that I do not use and am not interested in.... Especially as I and other devs such as John Young have pointed out these AI aircraft are very time consuming to make; and yes even "simple conversions" from one platform to another can prove time consuming and complicated depending on the models... For example the LHAI NH-90 packages were a real pain and very time consuming... Forgotten exactly how many hours I spent and how many revisions I went through to get those right but as Martin will tell you it was a ton... and while I enjoy this community and contributing to the community over the years; and also really appreciate the other devs who do and give to us as well; none of us are paid devs and we all have lives and families outside of this hobby... End of rant...

MAIW is alive and kicking, and so are its members.

But they also (all of them) suffer from that well-known syndrome "Real Life". And sometimes that has to take priority (understatement).

Honestly, what I am surprised about, is that this topic / thread is still alive and being posted to...

As was suggested by a couple of forum and team members, we're going to close this discussion here.

We don't have plans to sunset MAIW anytime soon, despite the lack of progress.

Many thanks for your constructive opinions and concerns.
