Does anyone know why my flaps are going up, instead of down?

Your axis is probably 180 degrees out.

Just to keep you updated. I got the flaps working right, when you get the hang of it, its quite easy

And I got the gear and rear gear-doors working. First the doors then the gear and its even compressing

I'm pretty excited with the results, but there is still a lot to do.

That is some progress there, max.
I know its early, but are you planning to do any versions of the model?

I don't know which models are still flying. And there are a lot of models, but after I complete this one, I think the PU model is an option, but an upgrade to the Mig-31 is certain.

Wow, you are chugging right along. It's really coming along nicely!
BTW, did you figure out how to make a texture map for it?

No not yet, I worked the whole weekend on the flaps and gears. The flaps went up, the wheels disappeared and were not aligned. Lets say I learned a lot about flaps and gears this weekend

I'm going to have a look at it tonight I think. I don't think my boss is going to like it, if I'm modelling at my work.

I must admit that the thought of these boys operating in Syria close to the ongoing Israeli packages is very enticing.
So a Foxbat-C is planned, nice. I think that a -B could definitely be worth it as well. As for the -E/-F and the Foxhound, well they would also be wonderful but its a way off yet so best I not get ahead of my self.

Do you know what the main differences are between the different models, besides engines and armament?

Well not very technical I know but the Recce birds had a thinner nose section as they had no radar, but a cursory glance reveals no data as to the true length of either the recce birds or the trainers, although I found a trainers had a longer nose but no actual details.
I did find that there is a publication called Monografie Lotnicze #3 that carries the specs for both the MiG-25 and MiG-31 but I haven't managed to locate that yet. Will let you know if I find anything.

Yes I tried a little test, but mspaint is so annoying. I have worked with Fireworks in the past, so I'm hoping it's going to work on Vista. You really need to puzzle with al the parts in a small place. Anyway, I'm hoping to finish LOD1 this week, so I can begin with the texturing. The only problem is, that I suck at painting. I think that someone else needs to do that, so if anyone feels free to paint a nice Mig-25, give me a call
