Now there I can help, I found that some textures were missing on mine and with John's help and the use of Filemon I found that these 5 were needed by the scenery at LFSR.
glass.bmp
t2.bmp
roofg.bmp
roofg_lm.bmp
roofflat.bmp

Now these are actually part of Rocket's marvelous Coningsby scenery that came with our Coningsby package. If you have that installed you can copy them across to the French AB textures folder.

let us know if that solves the problem.

Hi Steve

I think he's saying that the hangers are untextured, so these won't help I'm afraid.

Steve, don't go too far, we still need to figure out what is going on with that background poly for some of our users.

Can´t activate scenery / objects

Hi there, title says it all. Everything installed fine but when I try to activate via the scenery library there´s nothing I can choose. Am I missing files here?

Mike the scenery files should consist of two folders in your FS9/Addon Scenery folder. One should be titled "MAIW Scenery Library Objects" and the other should be "MAIW French AB Scenery".

Check that those folders are in your FS9/Addon Scenery folder. If not, they may need to be re-installed.

Mike G, the folders are installed correctly but when I want to activate via scenery library "OK" button it won´t.

Looks like bgl files are missing that are needed for activation?

Could you please post the entries for the scenery.cfg so that I culled insert them manually? Thanks for your help!

Make sure that there is a scenery and texture folder in each of those scenery folders that Mike mentioned. If you can't add them via the manager in FS9...that usually means you are missing those folders.

All folders are present.

So you are saying that FS9 will not let you select those two folders to add them as "addon scenery", is that correct?

I know I've run into that problem myself before and I'm trying to jog my memory as to why it happens.

I think it happens when, as you are saying, the addon scenery folders are invalid. That happens when the "scenery" folder is not present inside the addon scenery folder.

Again I would check that the MAIW Scenery Library Objects folder and the MAIW French AB Scenery folder both have the two subfolders within them. If the "scenery" folder within those main folders is not there, I don't think you can add it to the scenery library.

You could also try installing the package to a temporary blank folder. By doing that you will see each component of the package. You can then manually install each piece of the package one at a time. If FS9 asks you if you want to overwrite such and such file, then you know it installed correctly the first time. But if it doesn't ask you about overwriting a certain file or folder, you'll know that it was missing.

Everything sorted out. I pointed the "OK" button to the scenery folder inside of the MAIW scenery files and not to the "MAIW Scenery" main folders......

Got it working now.

Thanks for your help and the outstanding work!

I agree glad its sorted for you but something is going wrong if you have to do that, you shouldnt have to deviate from the standard scenery installation at all.
