Steve,

I am taking the file size down to a bit, not like the 120k view in File Explorer. Therefore there is not a single duplicate in the 120 MAIW packages.

Let's try to find out why your files differ from mine. I have send you my mail address via pm, please zip these files together and send them over to me.

Thanks a lot.

Thanks, Cary.

It is the phase when a software starts behaving in steady state that I like best

Martin,

Any idea when will you be ready to convert the other prop textures? (Samdim, SKJ, etc)

Cary,

Are those prop-hs.bmp as well, or do they go by a different name? It is very easy now to cover additional prop-hs.bmp files and distribute them via an updated texture pack. Extending the program logic to deal with additional file names would mean changes to the code.

Martin,

They are different names, don't worry about them. Many thanks for the ones you've done already. Your work is very much appreciated.

Andrews AFB Transport UPDATE
In your version the headers 1. xxx, a.) etc. in the 0. Pre-Requisites section are in bold, in my version they are not.

Relevant questions:

add 1: whenever I have the more recent version, can we assume that your versions are from pre-release tests and officially only the later versions exist? If so, then I think no action is needed (but send you the current versions). If on the other hand the older versions are in the wild, I will add them to the database.

add 2: I just re-downloaded from FlightSim and AVSim and I still get Version 1.0. So I assume that this has never been released. Or has it?

add 3: when will this be released?

add 4: which one is the correct & current version?

Hi Martin,
The version numbers are strange as I don't install docs unless they are from the released versions, still do this. However what may have happened, for some, is explained for #2. The Seaboard 1.1 was not from the WoAI package but a manual package, as it says :-
Note: this package is also available in an automatic install version from World of AI.

Maybe some of the others are similar I will check. The one beginning with P, or Patrick AFB has been out for some time and is on the MAIW map, under Florida. So the answer to number three is some time ago  .

For the Andrews Update I made the amendment, so I thought I had the correct version installed. It appears that I may be mistaken.

I will check the others.

Unbelievable! I missed that completely  It will be added to The Owl's Nest and everywhere else where needed....

Menu Creator 2.2.2 download

I have restructured the overcrowded US program group into the sections

Air Force
Air National Guard
Army
Coast Guard
Marine Corps
Navy

You need to download the new version to use the new structure.
Updating to menufile version 3 with the program version 2.2.1 will not work.

Steve, although we still should figure out where the version differences are coming from, I have included all but the Andrews Update and UK Harriers file signature. So this should leave you with two unknowns.

OK Martin, I will restrict my investigations to those two.

Best regards

John,

Have you tried downloading it from The Owl's Nest directly, rather than from the link on here?

Which file is it on the Owls download list?

John,
You'll find it on the main page of the MAIW section.

No you will not, it isn't actually there at the moment. I grant that there is an entry on the MAIW page but when you click on it you go to a downloads page which does not include that particular utility. It would appear to be missing?

Ahhh. I admit that I didn't test it myself. I guess we will have to wait for Martin to provide us with the path of illumination.
(Just for Dan brown fans there :D )

Guys, I have taken the Prop Texture Replacer offline because it gets the same redo like the other tools had. Due to an extreme real life workload I am behind the planned release - sorry for that. I think next weekend is a realistic view.

All users of the Menu Creator should update their reference file (via tools menu) so that the newest packages are identified.

At least the package reference is "a jour" again
