They look great, think I have switched out the airfile for the stock Dash-8 for these to use.

I've got a couple of EDAI E-2C Hawkeyes using a wet AI FDE and in French livery flying off the Marine Nationale's Charles de Gaulle (R91) carrier off Brest as shown in my 10th post (10-26-2013 @ 3:28 PM) from the end of this MAIW thread. :D

Some USN livery's would be great, especially those for the VAW-124 Bear Aces that sailed on the Tomcat's last operational cruise in late 2005 and early 2006 among which were AJ-601 (BuNo 164496), AJ-602 (BuNo 163697) and AJ-603 (BuNo 164494).

These EDAI E-2C models were created by a French modeler and are not mine to distribute. :(

Sorry.

Those Hawkeyes look very cool! I had no idea there was a AI Hawkeye model.

I hope you guys can get ahold of it. I do plan on painting the squadrons. Starting with this badass mofo, although i believe they changed it to a different cag. Its about as complete as i can get it, the props are untextured so i cant paint them, and the stretch on the top doesnt allow me to complete the spikes. Something of note, i really like how eric did the windows. I can paint tint into them.

I hoped you would do -120 with their nice CAGs on both the Hawkeye and Greyhound. I do believe both have been repainted since. We had -125 in our air wing, who now have switched to "D's", shouldn't matter externally for AI purposes.

Just a quick note on your VX-9 paints, loaded them up in FSX and "F" buno 166968 showed black in the sim, all weapons were textured. What format do you normally save your repaints as?

Extended32 bmp. I'll check it tonight.

Chris, please check the size of the texture file. If it's only 4mb, its saved in the wrong format. The one I currently have showing is 5.33mb.

Is that an actual multi LOD AI model??

MIKE JG wrote:Is that an actual multi LOD AI model??
Mike,

No, it has 1 LOD with 6840 polygons and 20520 vertices or at least the version I have does.

Obviously it is low on LOD's and high on polygons and vertices relative to our normal MAIW AI models. :(

That's what I was thinking, it's a great looking model for sure.

I just didn't want to try to finish Jakes E-2 eventually if there was already one out there.

Eric (Eric Dantes) is the modeller of the E-2C. Just some posts above, I've asked the same question fot his email (and forum profil)
