Somehow I'd managed to miss the background layer was unticked for all the saves..doh!!!!

Would I be right in assuming this is caused by changing LODs.

Using the CC-130H-30, and FS9

Up close the paint looks as it should be, but once you start pulling away from the aircraft the black blodge appears.

Any ideas?

Just discovered a wee prob with the CC-130H-30 model.

The fin top light appears to be out of place.

Both FS9 & FSX models.

As John is adding the Hawkeyes at Point Mugu, I decided to update another part of the base; the California Guard C-130J-30s at Channel Islands ANGB.

Are the UAEF C130s not based in Al Bateen Airport?

Not according to Scramble. If youa re going by Wikipedia that says that it was correct in 2008.

I completed the C-130J-30s for 115th AS at Channel Islands ANGB and I think they turned out pretty good. One of the 130s has the firefighter markings, so I attempted that, and that turned out fine.

I'm not sure from your screen shots whether the cockpit glass is in place?

I can definitely tell that Jim and I are on a Herc binge these past weeks. I'm planning on making the Malaysian 130s, but the only problem I'm having is finding the tail markings for the 2 Herc squadrons. I looked everywhere but I can't find them.

Could anyone help me in painting this Malaysian H-30, which is in a green camo? I tried to trace out the camo from pictures, but they don't show the entire fuselage, and I can't find any for the top.

I've had similar problems finding decent upper surface imagery. My attitude is that if I can't find any, probably neither can anyone else. So whatever you do can't be called wrong.

Any repaints are a bonus for us all whether they are totally accurate or not. A lot of the time the model mapping makes totally accurate repaints impossible and a bit of constructive imagination comes in handy.

My cunning plan would be to use the HTAI ones as a template.

I finally finished the Malaysian 130s. The flightplans are modified from the Exotic Hercs package.
