Military AI Works

So with the new server now up & running, good job to everyone involved btw, I figure it's time to reveal what this big project I've been doing is. It is something I call the Great Fakery Project.

What this is in essence is an airfield in Antarctica that has 1 aircraft from every country that existed in the late 90s, there are some exceptions to this of course as a lot of the smaller nations, St Kitts & Nevis, Samoa etc, don't have air arms or even a police force, coast guard or anything like that to speak of. This is a fictional project for sure but the repaints involved are mostly period specific to the late 90s. There is still much to be done, like adding some buildings for example which is being worked on & the documentation so it's still a long way off yet. There are also some models involved here that have not been released/finished yet so this will not be released until all the models are in the public domain. Speaking of which, there is a new model in there that's been created by my dad & myself that's not a million miles away from being completed, take a guess which one that is

As you can see the airfield is divided into sections, the warbirds section is different in so far as it's 1 of each aircraft not in active service in the 90s or beyond.

As I said a long time off yet & there will probably a few projects from me before this gets released, but rest assured it will be released, eventually.

Next little project this time won't be from African but Western Europe. In this case the country if Belgium. This time around I've done their training aircraft in the form of their SF260s & the small fleet of Fouga Magisters they had in operation during the late 90s. Just doing some final checks on them & they'll be good to go later this week.

Wow !!!

Very impatient to have Belgian SF-260 and Fouga. I see them at Gossoncourt and Brustem and after Beauvechain when I was young.

The Belgian trainers have been uploaded to the hangar, please allow for the usual time for them to become available. I'll make a start on the transport fleet next, the HS748s are already complete

The 748's back then were white with the blue cheatline, as is the A310 & 727 I have planned as well. The DC series aircraft are about 20 or 30 years too early for the era I paint.

Yeah they probably are done, just haven't looked properly yet. Sadly the HS748 were definitely white back in the late 90s:

As much as I'm a sucker for a camo scheme they're a pain to paint up so I'll stick they factually accurate white

There are some new models in there courtesy of Mason Curling modded on the original models from Miljan Korac. Thank you both for enthusiastically helping me out with this one.

Just doing a bit of testing on these & I'll upload them onto the hangar. It'll be in 4 parts for sure, I'll explain in more detail once that's done.

The Russian MiGs have been uploaded to the hangar, they include textures, waypoints & flightplans for the appropriate units. The extra models, OVT etc, have been uploaded separately which you'll need to download if you want the full amount of MiGs, more than 400, flying about. Most of these extra models can be seen at the test units based at Zhukovsky. In said pack there are also a few clean variants as well, no pylons, which are quite useful for other packages as well.

ps, there's another new model(s) on the way as well. I'm not in a position to showcase it yet but we're getting there, watch this space.

After doing the Russians, it makes sense to do the Belarusian MiG 29s after that. So that is exactly what I have done, I would say the Belarussians aren't ones for originality as they are exactly the same as they're Russian counterparts but with their flag on the tail. Other than that, they're identical.







2 Squadrons worth of these totalling 73 airframes, for the usual retro era I publish for these days obviously. As an added bonus I've also done the government operated Tu-134A as well.



I've also done some HD repaints for their Su-24s & will be working on HD repaints for the Su-25s as well, I'll show them off once they're complete. The MiG 29s will be uploaded in the coming days.

I also need to thank geoffj for providing the serials & bort numbers for me as well, without those I wouldn't have been able to attempt these packages. Thank you sir as always.

Belarussian MiG 29s have been uploaded. I should get the Belarussian Su-24s done & uploaded before next week as I'm away in Poland & Czechia, but probably not the Su-25's.

There's also some new, sort of, helis on the near horizon as well. Watch this space............
