The Spanish Package can be downloaded from The Owl's Nest :smt001

The flight plans will be available in about half an hour.

OK, the flight plans are uploaded. I like to say a word about those:

* there is one Zip containing the sources and the compiled bgls for FS9 and FSX
* the plans are fictitious, our intention was to get the F-104 in the air, not to present historical correct flight data
* the plans were made late in the project because of the demand; otherwise we would have provided a list of third party airports (where needed) and a manual.
* the plans were not thoroughly tested in FS9 and FSX

All flight plans are made by Ray Parker with the exception of the Spanish Package traffic "Traffic_OwlAI_F-104_ESAF_EDA" that was made by Daniel Reeves - thanks a million, Daniel!

If you have already made a better plan or feel like doing so you are very much welcome to contact me and have it included in this repository for an honorable mention :smt002

The F-104 ROCAF package has been release on The Owl's Nest. The flight plans - again done by Daniel Reeves - are included in the separate file "OwlAI-F-104-Traffic-FS9-FSX".

Daniel has also created some VCPMods, offered in another separate Zip. Thanks a lot, Daniel for your support :smt001

Hi all, in these days I was working on the 104 for some new texture... and I noticed that I was still using the old FDE released with the first packages.
Switched to the last FDE from Mike (ver 1.8 ) but I have big problem.
Once in flight, the plane trembles continuously along the pitching axis. When the cruise altitude is reached, it get a lot of time to stabilize on it. Last, when it is on final, it waves up and down against the ideal descent path. Almost every time it crashes when touches the ground.
The tests were made viewing AC with TVB, which can cause some problem at ground as stated in the readme of new FDE.

I switched back to the old FDE.

Just me, or someone else experienced the same problem?
Regards, Giorgio

Giorgio,

I have never seen that. Just an idea... might it be that somehow you mixed the config file and flight model between the two versions? But that could be only possible if you have done a manual installation.

Martin, I'm quite sure you are right...
In fact, I've changed the FDE manually and very late in the evening.... may be, it was better to go to bed...
I probably forgot to change the line referring to the .air file.
Furthermore, I've never seen an FDE from Mike, that doesn't work correctly!!! :smt003

Once I'll correct the error, I'll post the result on the forum (as per my PM  )

Giorgio,

It is easy to forget sometimes that my AI FDE's are comprised of both the aircraft.cfg file and the matched .air file and if they are not used together you will get some pretty strange flight behavior, especially on this AI F-104.

I'm glad that you have it working correctly now. :D

After Norway has been pointed out as a blank spot on the AI world map only recently Ray has gone busy in his studio and we can add the RNoAF F-104 to the list. Thank you very much, Ray. :smt001

Flightplans for FSX and FS9 plus an airport file for Bodø Main Air Station have been added to the zipped flightplan compilation (available at The Owls Nest). The aircraft itself is available there and at FlightSim (just uploaded, so will still take a bit).

You should never publish a package before you leave for holiday. I did and it was a fault - the installer skips the aircraft.cfg for whatever reasons. I can only fix it when I am back in two weeks and have taken the download off from The Owls Nest and notified FlightSim and AVSim to do the same.

Sorry for that
