Sometimes i have aircraft taxi and they just disappear to an available parking slot then taxi out again.

I have a solution! It's a miracle. Select a different spot, lo and behold, the aircraft taxis alright.
As we used to say "aircraft taxis, aircraft stops. Rooster, hook and look. Change spots. Change aircraft. Aircraft taxis. Problem solved".
"Pilot reports problem with aircraft."
"Pilot changed. Problem solved".

He was making a joke. Jeez.....I doubt there will be a fix for this problem as its not something Ive ever experienced, Im afraid, could be anything affecting it, could be you have a 3rd party add-on that is affecting it, such as terrain mesh etc.

I don't know of a fix either. It happens on my setup as well and AFAIK, I don't have any addons in that area of the world.
As long as the AI are not getting stuck, I think we can live with it. It is certainly a strange phenomenon, one that I've never seen before.
You could always try removing the MAIW afcad for that field and see if the problem is still there with the default afcad. Other than that, I'm not sure what else we can do to fix it.

I downloaded the package and re-iinstalled twice.
Can't get any parking areas or taxiways. Also, get NO traffic at ypea or ywlm.
Checked for duplicate AFCADs, but could not see any.
I must be doing something wrong.
Help, please

OK lets start with the obvious question. Do you have VOZ, RAAF AI or its successor ADF AI installed?

I have VOZ 1.8 complete and the VOZ AI package No sure about the ADFAI pack, I did have it at one time, but might have deleted it.
Thanks for your quick reply.

Do you have the program "ScanAFD" ? I think that's what it's called. It's available over at AVSIM.
If you don't have that program, get it and run it. It can scan all of your addon scenery folders, not just the main one for duplicate afcads.
You'd be surprised where some afcad files can hide.
Run that utility and see if that comes up with any dupes. Your problem sounds like a duplicate afcad problem.

I have ScanAFD, but cannot get it to work. Get an error msg that it cannot find "Addon Scenery" in Scenery.cfg file.

Hmm......that's a bit of a problem. Your main Addon Scenery folder should be your top layer of your scenery tree.
Here's the last few lines of my scenery.cfg file from my laptop installation of FS9 which is a bare bones set up I use for testing. There's only two additional scenery folders added on.

Note the layer numbers as my "Addon Scenery" folder is the highest layer at 40, meaning its contents sit on top of everything else.
If you go to your main FS9 folder and open your scenery.cfg folder, can you find the entry for your Addon Scenery folder??

There was not a specific "Addon Scenery" entry. I will copy yours to my cfg file and see if it works.
More later.
Many thanks for your kind assistance.

No! Don't do that, LOL!!
Sounds to me like your Addon Scenery folder has not been activated? Can you go into your FS9 Settings/Scenery Library and confirm if your Addon Scenery folder has been activated as an addon scenery.

Mike,
It worked!
I d/l the VOZ AI files, ADFAI files and the ScanAFCAD program.
I then copied your suggested cfg file to the appropriate position.
Whatever it was, it worked a charm!!!
I've now got more traffic and parking areas that I can deal with!!
I'd like to thank you and Steve for your kind assistance. It certainly made a world of difference!
With Grateful and Kindest regards,

OK well that leads me to believe that your addon scenery folder was not active.
You should still go into your FS9/Settings/Scenery Library and make sure things are sorted out properly.
By copying my Addon Scenery entry into your scenery.cfg file, you have probably now activated that folder which gives you all the afcads for these traffic programs. Without them, the AI have no places to park.
This is what my Scenery Library settings look like:

Yours should look something like this. You should find your "Addon Scenery" folder and move it all the way to the top of your list, priority 1.
Remember that scenery is organized in layers with terrain mesh being underneath everything, then adding land class on top of that and so on. Eventually you get up to the various addon sceneries that you may have installed. But on top of everything should sit your Addon Scenery folder IF, and this is a big IF, this is where you keep your afcad files.
If you keep ALL of your afcad files in another scenery folder, then that one might need to go on top. Does that make sense?

Mike. Would you recommend putting landclass files (from whatever source) into the same folder to make sure they stay at the correct priority? Likewise with waterclass and terrain mesh?
Thanks for all the help you've given.
PS. Do I espy a Moroccan package coming up?
