JASDF Bases
Re: JASDF Bases
OK well I have good news.....
I have a load of F-15J's that were never released.
Will check them out and hopefully make them available to you guys.
Remember these aren't generic F-15C or D's, they are actually modded to show the slight F-15J differences.
Also that there is a Gifu test twin F-15J pack at -

Re: JASDF Bases
now can you guys help me with the puma issue please
Re: JASDF Bases
Andy,
Glad that your big problem has been solved. Well worth persevering I think you will agree.
Now for the Puma. How did you alter the size, as suggested in the documentation?

Re: JASDF Bases
OK so you followed the instructions in the package, including altering the model size and no Pumas appear.
So first thing is to check that you are looking at the right time. Use the timetable function in AIFP to check that you are looking at the right time.
Then download ACA2017 lite from here http://aifs2.pvdveen.net/ and run it against your system. It will quickly check your aircraft to see if there are any problems. If none found try installing the full ACA2017 which will check the aircraft and your traffic files for errors.
If no errors are found from them then you are doing something else wrong, likely the traffic percentage or you have got a higher priority afcad for that base, or that the afcad you hope to be using is active. The afcad you can check by loading Afcad, ADE or AFX and checking that icao. If it is not seen or if it is not the highest priority that is your problem.
Start there.

Re: JASDF Bases
what do you mean if not the highest priority and if it is not scene i'm confused i thought highest priority was a good thing Steve
Re: JASDF Bases
IF and I mean if, you have multiple afcads for the same place the last one to be loaded will be the one used.
If you look at your scenery.cfg you will see that the default MS scenery folders are at the top and have the lowest layer number.
Scenery is loaded from the lowest layer number to the highest. Not the order that they exist in the scenery.cfg but the layer number. The higher the layer number the later it is loaded. If you have two afcads in different folders the one with the highest layer number is loaded last and will be the one used.
So the term highest priority can be difficult to work out. The higher up the list of scenery inside FS9 is good, the list is the layer order from highest to lowest. Some people say that the highest priority folder is the one loaded first, some describe it as the one loaded last.
The MS default folders generally speaking should be the lowest folders in layer numbers, there are one or two exceptions but we will ignore that for the moment as you will only get confused.
If it is not seen then you haven't activated the folder that the afcad is in. You would be surprised how often everybody, and I do mean everybody, forgets to activate a scenery folder.

Re: JASDF Bases
This will be the first 'new' one.
F-15J with a Multiple Ejection Rack. Loadout from a pic I found on the web of a J at an airshow.
With probably throw in a texture as well.
NOTE - The texture may or not be current, just one I liked the look of.
Will do them as a dual pack, so one more to do for the initial release.

Re: JASDF Bases
They can't all be the highest. Only one folder can be the highest.
The key question is how many afcads do you have for the base active in your system, and please ignore the default FS9 one?
If you only have one then the order of scenery is a moot point. If that one is the one supplied as part of the package then that rules that out.
You have to rule out possibilities one by one until you find the cause.

Re: JASDF Bases
Andy,
We got that you edited the model. Fine. Now have you checked that you have gone to the base when at least one of the models are supposed to be there?
Over the years we have numerous error reports of people not finding aircraft that they installed but they just didn't check at the correct time(s). The smaller the number of aircraft the more chance you have of missing them.

Re: JASDF Bases
One thing to double check with having edited the model in AIAE... make sure you got them all. If there are multiple models in the same aircraft folder, you will need to individually check to make sure you got each one.
For example: Inside teh MKAI_EC225_SuperPuma folder I have 19 model files. Off the top of my head, I think that the JCG, JGSDF and Tokyo Fire Dept paints use three model calls. So, you need to make sure you have adjusted all three models.
Now, importantly, are you looking for these aircraft at their home base at Kisarazu? If so, they should show up even with the model size incorrect. There is a C-130 sized parking space by the UH-60 hangar. The EC225 would show up there if the model size is incorrect. If the model size is corrected, they would show up parked behind the LR-1s. If you are not seeing the EC225s in the C-130 parking space, it is likely not a model size issue. Double check the aircraft.cfg file to make sure you have the paints in a folder with the correct model and the [flightsim.x] numbers updated correctly.

Re: JASDF Bases
Brent I found something I checked the error log for the puma and it said the model specified in [fltsim.0] model=EC225 does not exist
I would have checked that picture you put up showing how your folder is set up but due to the dumb new photobucket p500 I can't
