I was planning on painting the two 70th anniversary Hornets this week, but I haven't found the time maybe next week.

They look sweet Drew, they'd make a really great add-on.

Superb as always, great scenery almost like being there for real.

First off, awesome package. I love all of the new Hornets. Couldn't ask for more. I did notice something strange though. I was following two of them as they taxied out and the lead did something I have never seen before. As he (she) held short, the afterburner effects started and the exhaust nozzles did their animations. Once the aircraft got to the runway, the afterburner went out, the exhaust nozzles stayed wide open and the aircraft took off. Second aircraft took off as one would expect a Hornet (taxi onto runway, light afterburner, and away it went). Has anyone else had this happen or was this just a quirk?

Fingers crossed its just a quirk.

Just ran some tests and I think it isn't. At first I thought it was maybe an AFCAD issue because I forgot to delete the old afcad (helps to read the readme, I guess ). I deleted it and reloaded flightsim. Monday morning time is 8:04. Two ship departure. Depot 50 and 51. 51 has no issues but 50 did same thing 3 out of 4 times. Any thoughts? When I did tests I had fraps going so I took screenshots to illustrate what I mean. I can post if anyone wants to see them.

The afterburner effect is triggered by the strobe lights coming on.

When you watch the aircraft, the strobe lights should not come on until the aircraft has been cleared for takeoff or cleared into position on the runway.

When the strobe lights are triggered on, this starts a countdown timer that we control that then starts the afterburner effect.

Not sure about the nozzle animations, that's something Drew came up with.

Are the strobe lights flashing while the aircraft is sitting there??

I think the strobes never came on to be honest. I noticed the aircraft was very jerky as it was taxiing. As it approached the runway it was constantly starting and stopping. I will am going to try and capture it on video and I will post a link if I get it.

What are you viewing it with, Traffic View Board by chance?

Yes I am. Just tried viewing from a Robinson and everything was fine.

Yea TVB can cause some weird problems like this one.

I have had some trouble on occasions with TVB, aircraft keeping stopping whilst taxying etc. A real pain.
How I managed to cure each time, so far, was to rename my fs9.cfg file and let fs9 build a new one. Then I copied relevant sections like my joystick settings back across into the relevant place in the new one.

I really can't explain why it works but so far it has fixed it each time. The last time I basically copied everything back, using a compare proggy, so that it was identical and it still worked.
