Meanwhile, here's some very fictional Nigerian Super Puma flightplans. The military ramp overlay at Lagos is 'optimized' for the scenery by Frederic Kabalu (available
here). The AFCAD included with that download needs some tuning, and you may wish to remove/replace "Lagos domescticground.bmp" with a see-through bitmap, as the included photoreal background is of quite poor quality.
As far as I can tell, only the Warri Helipad (fictional code: DNWR) is missing from default FS9. It should not be confused with the nearby airstrip (DNSU) that is also missing in default FS9 but is available as 3rd party scenery.

The 330's appear to share an FDE as do the 332's. Does that mean I can merge the 330's into a common folder with all their individual model/texture folders or are there lights/contact points differences I haven't spotted yet that require them to be kept separate? Likewise for the 332's.

It doesn't share fde

Naturally the 330 doesn't share fde with 332, but how about the various 332 packages? Their aircraft.cfg's are identical (at least according to diffnow.com) and the .air file has the same filesize and date across all three

Ok thing are like this As-332B/B1/C/C1/F1 are sharing same fde
As-332L1 will have different fde and same as As532AL/UL
As-532U2 and EC-725 and EC-225 will have another fde.
It all depends from size of helicopter. And of course I am not planning to bother magic mike making different fde based only on stronger or weaker engine as we are limited about performances for each and every model.
Of course there is a difference between As-532U2 and EC-725 - number of rotor blades.

Thanks for clearing that up so quickly. Makes life a bit easier on those of us trying to cut down on the number of aircraft folders (834 so far and going down - and I haven't even started on the MPAI folders

)

Is that All
Currently going through all my WOAI packages and deleting the defunct or horrendously out
of date Aircraft/plans. not sure how many A/C folders I have but well over 1200.

Thanks Miljan that helps a lot. Like rke I like to keep as few aircraft folders as possible to ease managability (861 currently, nightmare!).
If I understand you correctly, I can merge the 332's released so far but not the future L1, yes?
You didn't mention the 330's, Can I merge those released so far into a single folder too?

What helps is if you have a text compare proggy. All you have to do is load one aircraft.cfg file and compare to another one. If the files are identical except for the fltsim.x sections then you are good to merge.
Where you may find problems is light settings. Graham King was going into correct lighting positions in a big way for his Herks. So you may find that some of the variants of the HTAI C-130E and C-130H may have different light settings. If so you will have to make a choice to stay as accurate as the author intended, and have separate folders, or find a good generic setting and stick with that to merge them all into one folder.

I have lights attached to model with specific reason. It will not work if anyone try to attach them via cfg file.
Cheers

Miljan,
Thank you so much for these great additions to Flightsim they are a wonderful addition so please keep up the fantastic work!
Are you planning a possible civil version like the ones Bristow and Bond use?
Cheers Wes...
