Gaddafi has said he will order the state arsenal to give arms to all Libyan citizens to defend the country. Dangerous move Colonel as the guns could be pointed at YOU!

The Italian Ministry of Defense declared that AMI aircrafts will fly over Libya today, and it looks like Trapani airport has been closed to civilian traffic.

Italian aircraft:
four tornado ECR from Piacenza and four typhoon from Grosseto.
Trapani closed to civilian traffic, due to military operations.

IF we played by "their" rules we could do this very quickly and much cheaper !

I'm still waiting to see an arab country that actually provides military support for this, the arab league was begging for this to happen, now when it does, they are no where to be found

Libyan air bases available on avsimru (avsim is less fast)
You can find repaints (mine and by other simmers) on AVSIM.
Wonderful flightplans here by James84 (che ringrazio, in italiano )

I was very wary of putting anything up that involved departures of aircraft, specifically what looked like operational departures, but seeing as Sky TV has a news team on "the mound" and putting out live pictures of Typhoons taking off, then I thought so much for keeping things quiet.......the only odd thing about watching three Tiffies taking off is that it's Sunday, it's usually VERY quiet!
But it does put it in perspective when you see operational aircraft taking off from your living room and wondering where they are going to end up.......god speed boys (or girls, or both.... :? )

Daryl
It wouldn't matter one bit .There's a huge difference between knowing traffic is heading your way and being able to handle it, as proved by wild weasal flights in Vietnam etc.

Thanks Luciano, I've now got the files. Nimitz is positioned off Libya, tomorrow the VRS F/A-18 will see action.

I can't seem to find the flightplans you mention in the readme for the bases. I see mentions by James84 that he is working on them but i can't see a link to the finished plans.

Yes, you are right.
I made some confusion.
Libyan flightplans are no available now, but I asked to James84 to publish them soon on this site!
Sorry for my mistake.

We beat Man City 2-0, thanks for asking  . Yes, Roman was there.

To keep it on topic, I can state that I saw no NATO aircraft but the threat obviously prevented the LARAF doing a flypast before the game.

Listening to Malta ATC, Solex 02 is heading towards Malta from the direction of Cyprus, "intending to operate with due regard". Anyone know what that means?

Which aircraft is Solex 02?

E-3D from Waddington, I think...

Now Ascot 7216 (Maybe a refueling Herc?) routing West from Cyprus direction, this time used the term "tactical due regard", which clears it up. Thought it was probably combat mission related...

Due regard I think refers to "with due regard to the UN resolution".
