Did an ATC annual camp at Lindholme '71 (I think)

I only have one for the UK2000 scenery - and on a note of going solo, I flew Venture ZA632 from 613 VGS at Halton back in 83, great machines to fly

Wow! I feel spoiled for having soloed a glider in a "relatively" modern Let L-13 Blanik.....

We used to "borrow" a Blanik from the RAF Gliding and Soaring Association at Lindholme to play with

Just a few facts about RAF Little Rissington I learned while I was there.

1) It was the first home to the Red Arrows, when they flew the Folland Gnat.
2) It is the highest Airfield in England, hence the constant low cloud cover.
3) When I was there it was under the control of the USAFE, and was the biggest Combat ready hospital in Europe. (stories say alot of it is under ground but I never got to see that...)
4) It also provided over spill housing for USAF personel from RAF Fairford and RAF Upper Heyford.

Hope you don't mean at Lindholme. We had Chipmunks and if memory serves me right the station hack was a Beagle Basset;

I think in those days Bulldogs were probably "cutting edge" stuff.

Yep, the Bulldogs were stationed at Little Riss back in the days when I joined up. Scottish Aviation and not Bristol before anybody says anything.
